Did the 3 hour MAC master course purchased through Groupon. I have very basic knowledge or interest in makeup but found the course informative. Definitely stepping up my cleansing routine and learned good tips and feel much more comfortable going to makeup counters now and having a better understanding of what all the product names are and their uses. Our instructor was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. The bubbly was a nice touch. Marked down 1 star for the location. It was a bit far outside the city centre and the street wasn't very nice. I have always been a bit nervous about make up. Now a woman over forty I thought a few make up tips might refresh my face and spirit. I was apprehensive to purchase this class for myself, worried about being a novice but from when I arrived I was at ease. It was a small intimate class. I still cannot believe how much information and technique Lauren, the make up artist, was able to distil into three hours. I was impressed with the balance between information and hands on practise. We learned techniques to make up a face for day and when you want to look special. The contouring techniques were much more accessible than I had imagined. Lauren had a way of putting great effects within our reach. I also learned more about the basics of good skincare than I had in a lifetime. There is a lovely relaxed welcoming energy about MLA and Lauren was a superb teacher. So many tips and great practical advice you cannot get in a magazine. I wish I went years ago. More...

The four weeks course has been amazing ,it equips all the right techniques and knowledge I needed it has a Brilliant aftercare program and I have already been invited to amazing refreshers classes with mac and urban decay
