How long have you been interested in magic?
Strangely I was never really impressed by the magic we used to see on TV but was amazed by a live, close up street magician. I'd just stopped performing in my band as a singer/guitarist and magic *appeared* right in front of me (sorry!) Before long I was auditioning and gaining entry into local magic circles wherever I travelled around the UK and learning so much whilst performing in front of fellow magicians (tough crowds!) and my early clients.
I've always loved making others happy and magic does this so well to so many ages in so many settings. It's the perfect foundation for any event that has a big or small crowd coming together; it's a scene setter for a great event.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
Amazing close up magic - right under your nose - in your own hands - just like on TV - I was performing many of those type of tricks before they were seen on TV.
Card and coins appear, change and vanish inches away and in your hands. Mind Magic like Derren Brown - spooky and impossible predictions. Also all the 'classics' are there with magic using sponge balls and cups and balls for kids and big kids too!
What do you love most about your job?
I just LOVE being a small part of peoples biggest events. Capturing moments for them to look back on and also creating some memories with my magic is an absolute privilege. I love staying longer than booked when everyone is enjoying themselves and if it's appropriate. I'm not a 'clock watcher' when leaving but I'm always there to begin when needed!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always taken photographs for as long as I can remember. Now I get to take and deliver clients' memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. I've held a camera since I was about 8. For magic, I was seeing others performing magic at places where I visited - I felt I could do as good a job and decided to give it a go with a magician mate. I've performed magic ever since, but I was a performer at the age of 12 as a singer so am pretty comfortable in front of an audience I'm too busy performing to get nervous!
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe I offer outstanding value. I have photographed and performed successfully at weddings and events in top hotels alongside pop stars, clubs, university campus events, lavish military balls and football stadiums. I've also been involved at the smallest, most modest events as well. I have the breadth and experience at all levels, knowing when to start and stop during the event so everything just 'works'. I regularly capture an event and be part of the entertainment as well. I will always speak with you before any booking to make sure I know exactly what you need and to provide you with the confidence that I am one less thing to worry about when I know you are already busy. We will meet, discuss and and make sure you are happy before I leave...always!
