Had my first experience of Made and Making this morning at the No-sew Christmas bauble class. So much fun to make a fairly simple craft that even someone new to crafting can manage successfully in a few hours! Thanks Louise! Super class.

Love Made and Making. Sarah is very helpful and knowledgeable - you can attend Sew Friendly sessions with your own project and she'll help you when required. I have so far done Lampshade Making and Drum-Shade Light Garlands (with beautiful Liberty lawn fabrics) and really enjoyed both. Now, to learn some sewing skills .... PS. I was delighted with the machine embroidery workshop. I had always wanted to try machine embroidery but didn't know quite where to start - Sarah quickly demystified the topic and we were soon having a go within 20 minutes. Sarah is a calm and experienced tutor and was able to respond to our questions and set us back on way quickly without overburdening us with excess information. She was good at giving prompts for our own ideas to develop. The group was small (6) with the workshop being light and each workstation had everything you needed . There were plenty of resources provided along with tea, coffee, biscuits etc. The atmosphere was lovely and we all enjoyed comparing our projects and sharing ideas. I was very happy with the piece I took home and pleasantly surprised at what I had been able to achieve on a first attempt. Can't wait to continue with this absorbing and rewarding past time. Thank you Sarah! More...

Although everyone had different levels of experience, Sarah’s clear tuition, calmness and enthusiasm meant we all ended the session with a piece of sewing to be proud of. Can’t recommend this workshop enough and found the whole day very inspiring. Thank you Sarah. The Made and Making website has details of such a variety of different workshops, it’s well worth a look. I came away on a high, I really feel I have achieved something very useful.
The other women on the course were fun and helpful and I hope to see them on future courses. Elizabeth the tutor was amazing and had endless patience with me and I look forward to working with her again.

Well, what a learning curve ! Tanya [the tutor] was very patient and explained all that was needed to make each block. I haven't finished it yet but will post a photo when I do. More...

I have found the sessions very calm and have been thrilled with the items and skills that I have left with.
Tea and coffee and biscuits freely available to sustain us and the environment creative, warm and inspiring.

Really enjoyed the introduction to crochet class I attended this Saturday.
I came away with a tiny granny square, a set of 6 crochet hooks and some instruction sheets from the class and have surprised myself yesterday evening with being able to make a large square from scratch.
.. whilst being in front of the tv, having no previous crochet or knitting experience! Very good teaching to cram all that into my memory in 3 hours!
Thank you so much!
I'm looking forward to attending more classes in the future.
