I am absolutely disgusted with this company due to lack of knowledge and customer service that is non-existent. They offer cheap services for a reason. They will provide A class service until they have received payment from you and then you will see their true colours. Please read my comments on their website that I had left at the outset before they received money from me. They filed incorrect plans to start with. No feedback, update despite of numerous phone calls. After a month of follow up, they corrected plans and re-submitted but application was rejected by the council due to incorrect proposal made that shows they do not have knowledge and experience in this trade. They fraudulently charged me additional money to resubmit application and never did. I have to go through legal channels at an additional cost to take them to court which is unnecessary stress. I have contacted watch dog to investigate this company. Stay away from this Micky-mouse company who will only give you stress. I wish I could give them 0 stars that they deserve. More...

When I first saw Paulina I knew that she was a competent person to do the job, which is why I've hired MAC Architecture to apply for our planning permission for the loft conversion and double side extension. It was a good decision that I won't regret. She was very quick to provide me with the drawings and they were excellent. Like Luis I have experienced a shocking lack of professionalism and very disappointed customer service offered by MAC Architecture.
Likewise, Paulina Mac failed to return calls and not responded to emails. Last email I received from her was approximately 13 September 2018 when she said she would contact me the following week. I have not hand any communication from her since, no phone calls or emails. So despite paying all costs up front she has not completed the work she started.
I would not recommend Paulina Mac to anyone.

Dear Mary, Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback. I feel it is necessary to respond to your comment. As I can see from our e-mail conversation on 27th August 2018, you were sent the following documents: 1. Full Set of Planning Application Drawings 2. Design & Access Statement 3. Appendices 4. Final Invoice Despite that, you have kept sending us e-mails about no internet access and further changes to the drawings regarding a flat roof, which was not on the drawings that we have provided you with. This has also caused a delay with your payment for the Final drawings by two months, which has resulted in a breach of our Contract Agreement, therefore we were no longer liable for the submission of your Planning Application unless you agreed to pay a fine for the Late Payment Scheme. We are sorry to hear that you were in a difficult situation as we always try to provide best solutions for all our customers. I can note that you have received your drawings on 12th December 2018, after which you've requested further amendments on 5th January 2019 for which we didn't charge you extra. Your final amendments were sent on 22nd January 2019. Despite that you've left us a negative comment while we were still working on your final drawings upon your request. We can also note that this is the second time you've decided to use our services as you were very happy with us before. We always do the best we can to satisfy our customers. Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
If you are planning a Loft Conversion project we would need to determine whether your specific case can be submitted under Permitted Development or whether you will need a Full Planning Application. This can be established on the Initial Consultation meeting, after which we can book a Measured Building Survey. Based on the existing measurements we can then produce the Proposed Drawings and submit them to the Local Authority. Once we obtain a Grant of Permission, you can then start the Building Regulations Drawings and Structural Calculations Stage, which can be finally submitted to Building Control in order to begin your Building Site.

Planning Applications
Whether you are thinking of a loft conversion, an extension or a new kitchen, making significant improvements to your home will require detailed planning and research, for example;
Do I need Planning permission for my Single story extension, Two story extension, Loft Conversion, Conservatory, Basement extension, Granny Flat, Garage, Garage conversion, Outbuilding / Garden Shed, Porch, Decking, Balcony?
If a Planning application is required, we will provide all the drawings, elevations, measurements and documentations for a Full Planning Application as well as submit it on your behalf, liaising with the Local Authority.
Building Regulations Drawings
Building regulations are general standards for design, construction and alterations to every building. The Regulations are developed by the UK government and approved by Parliament.
Before the Building Site takes place, each project must obtain a Building Regulations Approval. Building Control will require a set of Construction Drawings and Details, which will be used by the builders on site, as well as a Structural Report, which will determine the size of beams, columns, joists, lintels, depth of foundations as well as strength of bricks and concrete.
We will provide a full set of drawings detailing the requirements under the Building Control Act along with method statements and full building notes.
Structural Calculations
Any building project such as extensions, conversions, refurbishments, even adding a partition wall or replacing a window will require Structural Calculations. If you are carrying out an extensive home refurbishment that involves removing load bearing walls or chimney breasts, you will also need them.
Our Engineers work hand in hand with the Architects and Surveyors. They work together to ensure that the specification works from both aesthetic & practical point of view.
Often Clients are unsure if a wall is load-bearing and if it can be removed safely. An Engineer's Survey & Report will clear up any confusion and provide the right solution.
Interior Design
Lots of people think working with an interior designer means spending a vast amount of money or buying a specific style. The process of DIY project can be very frustrating; going from shop to shop, site to site, trying to navigate the measurements whilst shopping around for the best prices and having to visualize how everything will look together.
We can offer you help. With our expertise of local suppliers for furniture, lighting and landscaping we have access to much lower trading prices and we can get you a Full Interior Design Package, which will include: 2d Room Plan in scale, choice of Furniture, 1 Project Revision, 3d view of your room.
All this for just £150 per room !
Building Cost Specification
Once your entire project is drawn up and calculated by the Architects and Engineers, you are in the right place to begin looking for the best Building Quote that the local market has to offer. Whilst you are making your decision, please consider whether your builder has provided you with a general estimate or a detailed price estimate. A general estimate wouldn't include much details, just overall prices divided in stages rather than clearly listed costs. Note if your builder included all the required information such as electrical design, scaffolding and external landscaping.
