Lovely garden centre. Great for plants and garden equipment but also great choice of gifts, furniture, sheds and animal feed and accessories.

I love visiting this garden centre just to use the restaurant. They do some lovely meals

Unfortunately the garden centre is far to expensive. I travel to Alford if I need anything. I'm not totally sure how the garden centre stays open

The cafe/restaurant only worries about looking after "locals".
We called in for a coffee after walking around the garden centre which is nice. We found a table and sat down. Shortly after, some "local" cockneys walked up to our table to state, "we reserved that table". After checking that we hadn't missed a reserved sign, we said there wasn't a sign. They carried on moaning about us sitting at "their" table and quite aggressively said we shouldn't be there. Why 2 people needed a table for 5 is beyond me anyway. Their attitude was shocking and rude. For the whole time we were there, they carried on making comments. Staff at the cafe said they were sorry to them for not putting a reserved sign out and even gave them free items to compensate. The couple then started saying "well they'll have to look after locals like us, as we might not come back again if not". How they class themselves as locals with cockney accents, I'm not sure. They may have lived in the area for some time, but they need to realise, they would have been newbies at one point. The cafe staff should start worrying about the people who bring in revenue throughout the year, rather than some of stuck up folk on the doorstep. No need for the attitude.
Will not be returning and wound not recommend to anyone, unless you live nearby, then you'll be worshipped.

Took our grandson to see Father Christmas here today and was pleased with the service and overall experience of the whole thing. The price was only £6 which I was surprised at to start with as was expecting to pay at least £10. Then when we got to Father Christmas as our grandson was shy due to being nearly 2 they couldn't have been anymore patient. He got chocolate, present and a tree so for the price I'd definitely bring him again next year even if it has gone up a bit! Top Santa really put the children at ease.

Cafe definitely needs some TLC. Disinterested server and fish barely edible; although supposed to be "Grimsby sourced" I think the nearest it came to Grimsby was in one of its freezing plants. Is it too much to expect for over £15 that meal would be better than this? Won't be returning.

Went to buy some Billy and Margot dog ice cream to find the freezer, designed for the dog treats, in the middle of the garden centre instead full off frozen cake and cod goujons, which I can only imagine is for the cafe.
