My ethos for website design is building a website that is beautiful and functional. Having a website that looks good is great. What’s even better is a website that looks good, is easy to use for you and your customers and gives your customers all the information they need in one place.
The functionality should cover lots of areas, both what your customers see, but also the way you use it. It should be easy for you to upload content, keep it updated and looking fresh.
Something that is coming up more and more each year, is if your website is mobile ready. It’s so important that your customers can find you across all platforms and have the same great experience with your brand across all of them. It’s also important for Google, as they rate your website on whether it’s a responsive or not. If your website is built well. What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When starting a new project I have some key questions.
1. Who are your trying to target?
It's important that the first thing we figure out is who your customers are and why they want to come to your website or making sure the branding matches their needs.
2. What is the purpose of what we're doing?
If we don't know why we're doing something, it can be difficult to make a great impact. Do you want to appear more premium to increase your pricing or want to attract a new type of customer?
3. Am I the right person for your business.
I understand that my style isn't for everyone, which is why I specialise in premium, feminine businesses. If you're looking for a corporate look and feel, I'm probably not for you.
4. What do you like?
When I first start designing a new website or brand it's important I understand what you like or don't like. That way we create something that really represents you and your brand's personality.
What do you love most about your job?
I love that I get to change the fate of small businesses and take to the next level. I also love getting to meet people, understanding their dreams and getting to know why they're doing what they are. Helping them to achieve their dreams gives me all kinds of warm fuzzy feelings.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had been working in corporate companies for around 8 years and decided I wanted my work to have a higher impact, also the flexibility of making my own decisions is pretty awesome.
