We had a 7 piece jazz/pop band for our wedding in the Florida Keys. The band was absolutely phenomenal, and was above and beyond my expectations. We have a cello/pianist for the ceremony, a jazz trio for the reception, and the full 7 piece pop band for the party. Louis was very responsive throughout the entire booking progress. He made a few recommendations and I have to say all of them were the right call and worth it. The band showed up on time, was very well dressed, and there were no technical issues all night. I had a great experience with Louis and the band. Louis was flexible and responsive working through event details; I was very picky about the song selection and the band was very accommodating. They learned a couple of songs at our request, and customized the arrangements for the first & parents' dance. We got the package with ceremony music (cello & keys), cocktail hour jazz (keys & sax), and a five-piece band (vocals, keys, sax, bass, drums) that played jazz during dinner and pop afterwards. I am a musician myself, so I had to hire live musicians for my wedding instead of defaulting to a DJ. The cost was so worth it! ! I have been to weddings with live bands in the past and they exceeded my expectations and definitely sound even better than the recorded promo materials. It felt like we went to a paid live concert and all of our guests were dancing like crazy and couldn't stop talking about how amazing the band was. The band was incredibly talented and played so well together. Totally unprompted, my brother’s girlfriend (who does events professionally and had helped with other parts of the wedding) came over halfway through dinner and said “band is a 10 out of 10! ”. They tailored the music just how we wanted, starting things out with improvisational jazz over dinner and eventually played more classic wedding/dancing songs. They were also super professional and accommodating, showing up on time and adjusting to an unplanned surprise request for a Spotify playlist at the end. We booked Intrinsic Groove because we wanted more funk that will keep people on the dance floor. And the band did just that! They brought such positive energy and they were such talented musicians. There were so many special elements to our wedding and having this band was one of them. We also had a ceremony and reception in two different locations which meant that our piano/cello had to travel to a different location prior to the cocktail hour/reception. Everything about using Louis Pettinelli was easy and wonderful! We planned our wedding in a short amount of time and that was no problem for him! He was extremely responsive, matched us to Adam Shaber and other band members, we exchanged a few emails and calls and then they really outperformed! All inclusive of ceremony, cocktail hour and receptions music, with all equipment, it was a one stop shop, so easy! Which is exactly what every couple wants when planning a wedding! 20/10 HIGHLY Recommend!! My husband and I got married on September 23, 2023 in Bath, Maine. We booked the Adam Shaber Quintet through Louis Pettinelli Entertainment and we were absolutely blown away with our experience, from start to finish. Louis himself responded to my inquiry message within a matter of hours, and was so helpful and patient as he walked us through the booking and planning process. Their admin, Teresa, then took over from there to help us get our songs picked out, and always answered our questions very quickly. Their song list is very extensive and they are very flexible about allowing you to make selections off of their list, which was a big relief when it came to picking our songs. The professionalism and flexibility of Adam and the band went well above and beyond our expectations. All 5 members of the band were immensely kind and SO talented! They truly were the heart and soul of our wedding. Adam played acoustically for our ceremony outside, then took over cocktail hour indoors with two other band members, and then moved to the main hall to get the party going for the reception. He absolutely crushed every single part of the wedding day - including the planning! He was very helpful during our planning meeting before the wedding, steering us away from songs that wouldn’t play well to our guests, and it was such a relief to know he was on top of things. Our timeline got...well, pretty off schedule (dinner was served over an hour later than expected) but Adam and the band kept that awkward time filled with great music that drew people to the dance floor while we waited. Adam helped get us back on track by releasing tables for the buffet, and keeping the timeline moving, flowing from speeches to the father/daughter and mother/son dances, and then to the party! When he officially opened the party for dancing, our guests literally flocked to the dance floor and they stayed there! You could see that the band was sincerely having fun and that energy was contagious to everyone. And the talent! Wow! The transitions from song to song were unexpected but flowed perfectly and kept the energy high and fun the entire time! Once the wedding ended, you would not believe the number of compliments and praise we received about the band! One of the catering staff even came up to me after the wedding and told me that she's never seen a wedding where every. single. guest. was on the dance floor - and they really were, for the ENTIRE evening! Even our 80+-year-old guests! It’s been about three weeks since our wedding and our family and friends are still raving about how great our band was. We can’t recommend Louis Pettinelli Entertainment - specifically the Adam Shaber Experience - enough!! We used the Adam Shaber Experience and added a female vocalist for our 9/30 wedding. Adam played solo guitar for our ceremony, played as a duo for our cocktail hour, and with his band for our reception. He was INCREDIBLE!!! Multiple guests asked who he was and how they could book him themselves. Whether it was playing modern songs in jazz style for our cocktail hour, shredding guitar solos, or leading songs that had our guests scream-singing on the dance floor, he read the room and put on an amazing performance. Everyone from my 60s rock loving dad to our OutKast loving friends couldn’t speak highly enough about him. We are so happy we chose LPE for our daughters wedding. We had a violin /cello duo that provided music as guests were seated , for the ceremony & for cocktail hour . Setting up with LP was very easy. The musician was really great to work with on the day. We got lots of compliments on the music. Price seemed fair, and they were able to accommodate one song I requested for a modest additional fee. Occasionally there was a delay in response via email but nothing too bad. I didn't book a band from Louis Pettinelli Entertainment for a wedding, I did so for my mother's 90th birthday celebration and I am so happy that I did! I planned a 1950s Las Vegas Rat Pack Casino night and needed the music of the time so decided on a 5-piece ensemble. Louis was very patient with the many questions that I had and helped with song choices, etc. The band arrived on time, was professional, and sounded fantastic! Better than I had dreamed. Without question the best wedding decision we made was hiring the Louis Pettinelli band for our entertainment 🎶 From the very first interaction when Louis returned my call at 10:30 PM(! !) to begin the process of planning for our daughter’s not-too-far in the future wedding in Basalt, Colorado, which went off spectacularly well, two weeks ago today, Louis was a gem to deal with. Having had a VERY Frustrating experience with another band and their unwillingness/challenges in communicating, we were stunned by how friendly, attentive, thorough, thoughtful, and professional Louis, and in the end, everyone of his band members, were to deal with. He made the entire planning process, which included having to almost daily hound us to provide him song preferences/timing/everything that makes a wedding go off flawlessly, I can’t begin to say how wonderful he was to deal with. Then there was the MUSIC!!!!! Absolutely unbelievable from beginning to end… The musicians were incredibly professional, arrived promptly, and were completely set up well in advance of the service, AND every single member of our 8 piece band was a delight to deal with. The music for the service, processional and recessional, cocktail hour, and then once we all moved inside to the beautiful antique barn which they nearly lit on FIRE with their energy, the entire evening was perfection! I don’t think for a minute that anyone could sit in their chairs! Since we chose not to have a sit down dinner but passed hors d’oeuvres all night, the only comments that we got the next day were that people left hungry because they couldn’t take a break from the dance floor! It was a good problem to have! I truly can’t even believe how fortunate we were :-) We couldn’t recommend Louis Pettinelli one bit higher! I am very selective about music for events as I have many family members and friends that are professional musicians. I wanted a band that could play Classic Jazz, Soul, Funk, and today's standards. Louis Pettinelli Entertainment did not disappoint. The singers, musicians, and the MC were absolutely on point. Our wedding guest danced for hours! They also performed for my daughters ceremony (violin and keyboard) and the cocktail hour (sax and keyboard) absolutely professional, not your typical wedding band. Working with Louis was easy and clear. No surprises, he delivered exactly what he proposed. he was organized in the payment procedure, and the music selection process. He took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed every single one. They could really be a performance band if they wanted to, but I am glad that they understand the flow of weddings and the needs of their clients. One more shout out to the MC. Overall, we were happy with all of the LPE musicians we worked with, including the LPE Jazz & Pop Octet. First and foremost, musicians were very professional. They did a great job running all questions through our venue and wedding party and leaving us free to celebrate. The musicians contributed to feedback we received that our wedding went off without a hitch. The ceremony musicians were able to make a day-of change to extend the sheet music that I wrote for them to account for a longer-than-expected processional. They also performed the piece (which is not in their usual repertoire) very competently. I think that the amp was having trouble picking up the violin near the end, but it didn't detract from the ceremony. The band followed all of our requests to a T. The mp3s/playlists we asked for were played at the right times. The band played lots of songs on our "would like to play" list (including some requests not present in the basic setlist) and did not play anything on our "do not play" list. The band was also happy to perform with my bride and me for a song, and was flexible about when that happened during the evening. Finally, the band did a good job of being classy like we asked and not being brash, kitschy or annoying. The musicians were of a professional quality and caliber, and we received multiple compliments from guests. That said, we were rarely blown away by quality (but we're picky). We felt especially that a singer could have taken fewer liberties in his singing and scatting. It was 4-star music combined with 5-star professionalism. Pricing was upfront and clear, and reasonable based on other rates we saw. We appreciate that we were able to book the band while delaying the final choice on number of musicians until closer to the wedding. The organization was firm but polite regarding our requests to modify the contracts. More...
