Friendly stuff. Me and my family went to see Nana Mouskouri in 2018 and it was great. The sound was top notch and the hall was looking wonderful. We had a great time. The only drawback was the parking. More...

I love this place great for just relaxing, watching a show or even performing music in the ballroom. I don't know why I love this place so much but I've been going here for years. On the upper floors it is more calm with a balcony on the 5th floor looking over the river.Great food options around and even a bookshop.Singing lift is a must (the one near the gift shop) . More...

Southbank Centre is my second home ... It’s a relaxing refuge from the grind and bustle of every day London life. It’s not only great place to work, relax, and meet friends for a chat or drink, but there’s always something exciting on in the events hall - it’s a great place for all ages. Not to mention the members bar has some of the most spectacular views in London. I am grateful to the city for community spaces like these. More...

Always has amazing events like the Bloom dance group in past years as well as orchestras and other events. There are plenty of seats with tables on the ground floor by the bar which looks onto the stage where many performances are held throughout the year. Each floor (approx. 6 floors) have seating areas to do work on laptops and which are spacious and quiet with mobile phone charging points. Entrance is wheelchair accessible and lifts are available on each floor. The ticket office for performances at the Southbank us on the ground floor near the cafe which looks onto the River Thames, where the River Thames riverboat stops not far away.Very good for working on laptops and restaurants and usually the food market are open throughout the daytime.Overall 100++ for performances, and for working on laptops with staff available for further assistance. Had a great time here for the London jazz festival. Nice intimate venue without feeling cramped. The seats in the auditorium are quite comfy as well with good leg room. Cost of refreshments is reasonable for such a venue with Harrogate still water costing £2 per bottle. There's also an interesting selection of bar snacks as well. However, I can't comment on the quality. More...

Newly reopened after a two year refurbishment the QEH is little sister to the Royal Festival Hall. It is a beautiful, intimate space with great acoustics. The versatile stage lends itself to many types of performance and the sight lines are excellent wherever you sit. The spacious foyer is a great place to meet for a drink with a wonderful view of the river. There is always something intetesting happening at the Southbank Centre and many events are free. More...

A good concert hall. The seats are steeply banked such that they all get a good view of the stage. The seats are also well padded and comfortable for a long performance.
The sound quality in the room is really excellent with no echoes or dulling of the sound.
Drinks and food are reasonably priced fir tge type of venue and the staff are friendly. Nothing to fault here at all.

What a treat to have been able to attend the Concrete Dreams Tours. The backstage tour takes you through all the behind-the-scene areas and rooms in this beautiful concrete building. To be honest, I am normally not a fan of Brutalist buildings, with the exception of the Southbank Centre complex and the National Theatre; however, the tour and what you get to see during the tour will certainly open your eyes and help you understand this architectural style. I've seen a crazy variety of performances at Queen Elizabeth Hall over the years, from Shlomo the beatboxer and his vocal orchestra, to Howard Marks (aka Mr Nice). Designed in the 1960's, the building has a bit of an old-school feel, but still manages to give off arty, edgy vibes. The bar has lovely views from the balcony - and be sure to check out the skateboarders underneath! More...
