How long have you been in business?
I have run my own business since 2016. I am qualified in Health and Social Care and have over 10 years experience working with the elderly in a variety of care companies. I am a sole trader but my aim is to expand my business eventually . I enjoy working alongside other professionals such as district nurses or general practitioners.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
I provide all cleaning materials including vacuum cleaner, iron and mop. I also provide all personal protection equipment for personal care.
What do you love most about your job?
I love building up a strong relationship with my clients and my days are so varied. Each client can relax knowing that I will be coming each time to see them without the uncertainty of different carers coming in each day through big companies. My clients' needs can change very quickly and so I enjoy being so flexible with the services that I provide to support not only the client but their family as well.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked in a wide range of care companies and even though I loved the work, the companies did not allow enough time with each client or they would send me to clients who had never met me previously. My aim is to allow enough time to carry out my work without rushing the client. I also meet the client and their family a couple of times so they can get to know me and ask me questions regarding any policies I have.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have been told I am a very bright positive bubbly person who lights up the room ! I take great pride in my job and am very organised. I am always striving to meet current care guidelines and continuously studying to refresh my skills.
