Amanda Moorhouse founded the company in 2008. She studied hair & make-up at the London College of fashion and then worked for 10 years in fashion and media.
The company has now grown to include a team of 80 fully trained hair & Make-up artists all over the country.

Another company I initially contacted were slow to confirm arrangements but Lipstick and Curls were prompt, friendly and efficient throughout. Kelly, our artist, arrived early to set up, was spotlessly tidy with her work station and equipment and gave us all amazing individual looks taking in excess of our thirty minute time windows. So many elements to consider when getting married and your hair and make-up has to be up there as one of the most important so getting this right is essential! Amanda and her team are amazing, very professional and make you feel comfortable from the start. I highly recommend having a trial first so you can go through lots of ideas of what you envisage on the day. Amanda, Alison, and Karen were an amazing asset for my wedding! These three ladies worked together so well and helped to keep the conversation flowing throughout our time together. They did an amazing job on my entire party's hair and makeup, accenting the specialness of each of my bridesmaids and making them feel comfortable for the entire event. They were also so accomodating with a (literal) last minute addition to the number of people needing makeup. I was extremely pleased with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. My bridesmaids hair and makeup was also brilliant. Hannah was great at the trial and took the time to listen to the look I was going for and found the right colours to go with my complexion and dress. They took us step by step through how to use your tongs properly to get vintage curls, followed by loads of time to try different styles.
