From the very first conversation with Linus we knew he was going to do a great job with our wedding photography, and he didn’t let us down! The photos we got back from our special day were really amazing and managed to capture all the memorable moments, from getting ready through to the evening party, so that we’ll have them to treasure forever. What’s more is we got our photos back really quickly (within 3 weeks) which was super, because once the day is over you just want to re-live it! I cannot recommend Linus Moran more highly . He was an absolute pleasure to have around on the day and the resulting images have blown me / all the family away . Linus Is very talented and I can’t recommend him enough. I’ll divide my review into three sections : 1. approach , 2. quality of shots and 3. pricing .1. His approach . Linus set a plan before the wedding about which photos should be ‘caught’ ie as a must - a plan discussed with us beforehand . So, you do need a photographer, in my opinion , who is organised and is going to make sure that he or she gets those certain ‘must have’ shots ie when the light is good/ the rain has stopped/ the opportunity strikes . Linus did that - he made made sure that he got those shots. Example: I wanted outside shots and , in the small ‘rain-free’ window that we had on the day, Linus ‘lined us all up’ and got those shots . So he’s a focused person . But he wasn’t too pushy . He was clearly extremely experienced. What was also good , is that he gets the balance right . For example: at one point, at the wedding breakfast , we started wandering around the tables of guests , so we could say hello to every guest ( so glad we did that ). Linus had reminded me , before I did that, that I had said I ideally wanted certain other shots with certain people . Anyway , because I was so caught up in the wedding , I forgot what Linus had said ( about the further shots) and continued to see the guests . Linus didn’t say to me ‘susan , you really need to stop going round the tables now , as we now need to get shots e f and g ‘ , what he did , was he worked out that we had key shots a b c and d already and that there was a balance to be struck ie between the experience of the day and the need for further ( bonus) good shots. I liked that. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss out on the experience of seeing each of the guests on the day ie just to gain another few ‘bonus shots’ . Linus instead started taking shots of us with the guests as we spoke to them and, funnily enough , those are some of my favourite photographs as it happens . Some photographers, as I understand it , from the wedding coordinator, put the ‘shots’ above the experience , which includes stopping brides for a posed shot on the way down the aisle !! but Linus has got the balance absolutely right . Totally professional . 2. Quality of the shots - Linus’s shots are top quality. The images are really interesting too - they are true portrayals of the wedding , that have somehow managed to pick up on people’s characters and the nuances of people/ the subtleties/ the emotions of the day, ie all of this has been captured on the photos. When I received my photos , It was like relieving the day. Mum and Dad felt the same. I say this as someone who is a tricky customer too! I am a creative person , but as a solicitor, I’m also a detail driven person. On top of that , I have a Dad who has won national awards for photography and who vetted the photographers that I short listed and who picked Linus . "Gosh he was bloody good wasn't he!" said so many of our guests who have seen our wedding photos. And he was! Linus managed to capture the whole feel to the day in his photos including the funny and emotional moments. It was wonderful to see the parts of the day that we had both missed and the photos of our guests arriving and enjoying themselves. We were immediately put at ease by his calm and easy demeanour, his relaxed approach with the kids, capturing those intimate shots without being intrusive, his professionalism in the midst of the chaos of 3 lively children. When we originally viewed your portfolio, we were very excited to meet you and discuss what we wanted from a wedding photographer. After speaking with you just the once, we knew you were the right man for the job, but we couldn’t have imagined that we would have received such stunning images – far beyond our expectations.You and Will were both a pleasure to work with during the preparation and everything we discussed, as to how we pictured our wedding was captured in images that will be with us for a lifetime. Wow! I cannot rate Linus's photography of our wedding highly enough. His full set of pictures is more than just a generic wedding album it's like an entire story book of the day which doesn't only capture the main events or smaller details of the day but also captures the emotion felt through every part of it in the most natural way. We are so happy and feel so lucky to have a set of photos which will enable us to relive the day so vividly for the rest of our lives, remembering how every moment really felt and not just what it looked like. Linus's style is so natural and candid that these pictures won't date or age - no uncomfortable posing and no unnatural filters over anything, they're just timeless and all of our guests have been blown away by them - many being bought to tears by them. In the lead up to the wedding, Linus made sure he knew exactly what we wanted in terms of both general style and specific formal photos and we couldn't have felt more at ease and full of total confidence in him. During the day itself we totally switched off from wondering whether or not each moment was being captured how we wanted it to be, we just knew he had it all in hand. And sure enough, just over a week after the wedding, Linus sent us the whole album. We couldn't believe how quickly they arrived! Looking through the full set we got to see so much of the day that both of us had missed, it's like he was everywhere at all times and yet he was never intrusive. Linus is an incredible photographer. From day one of planning our Wedding he was engaged with our plans and we had a great meeting telling him all of our ideas right at the very beginning. On the Wedding Day Linus was calm, professional and a great presence to have around. Our wedding photos are absolutely beautiful and we could not ask for them to be anymore perfect. Superb Photographer! Linus was engaged and proactive about the plans for our wedding from the start, and makes sure he's very well prepared, taking a keen interest in the plans for the day. My wife and I wanted someone to simply take care of the photography, so we didn't have to worry. We didn't want too many 'staged' photos, and just wanted someone to go around the wedding and capture the genuine feel and mood of the day whilst going unnoticed and unobtrusive.Linus is a professional and spent the entire day getting on with the job and managed to capture lots and lots of images that we loved and didn't even have a clue he was taking them or where he was. It's hard to know where to start with Linus and his wonderful photos.. It's not just that our wedding photos exceeded all our possible expectations, or that he was an absolute pleasure to have around on our wedding day; the whole experience was just fantastic. Linus was always available - on the end of the phone or email to discuss plans and reassure us (on everything, even non photography related!). When we met at our engagement shoot we were immediately put at ease and had an absolute blast, with stunning photos as a result. On our wedding day Linus was a pleasure to have around (greatly impressing our guests and my Dad (an ex-photographer) with his 'diligence' and 'effortlessness'. Linus really captured the story of our wedding and the photos we will spend the rest of our lives pouring over are so beautiful (not an easy task when the bride has a side of her face she doesn't like and the groom doesn't want to appear shorter than the bride...). I don't know where to start. I love photographs and didn't know where to start looking for our wedding photographer. A friends highly recommended Linus and let's say the rest is history.

From the moment I first met Linus I was filled with confidence & his photographs speak for themselves....stunning!

Linus was extreamly professional from first meeting, run up to the wedding, on the day and to receiving our beautiful photographs. In the nicest possibly way we hardly saw him on our day yet he captured the most beautiful photos. It was as if he was in the front row seat for capturing the images he did yet we were totally unaware of him being there.

Me and my husband don't like posing for photos and not once did we have to do this. Linus just told us to enjoy our day and he would capture it as it unfolded....and wow he certainly did and much more.

I'd highly recommended Linus to everyone as their wedding photographer.

Linus Moran has been incredible. From the initial phone call he was warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Looking through his beautiful portfolio of work on his website gave us a great insight into how he would capture our day although we have only had a few images through so far these have already exceeded our expectations they truly are beautiful. How a photographer can understand you so thoroughly in just a few short meetings is amazing. I knew when I met Linus that I needed him to be my photographer and it’s the best decision we made. The documentary style of his images speaks of the day how it really was. It’s not all glamour and posing, smiling for the camera. It’s capturing real emotions. Showing the day how it really was, from ugly crying to hysterical laughing! Linus managed to be invisible most of the day... there are shots where I didn’t even notice he was there!

What can we say... Linus was great! He is a genuinely likeable person, spending time with us before the wedding to answer all of our questions and put us at ease. Closer to the date, there is another call & questionnaire that you complete to make sure that he fully understands the plan.On the day of our wedding, we had an uninvited guest. Storm Brian decided to show up! Linus was very calm and adapted to the changeable conditions with ease. Once the photographs were back from being processed, we were very very pleased. The chronology and narrative of the day was really well captured in the reportage/natural style that we were after. Absolutely blown away by the amazing images captured by Linus. We literally can not stop looking at them! Linus and his associate Will photographed our wedding in May 2017, but our journey with them started some months before. Linus took care to meet with us well in advance of our wedding to understand more about us as a couple and what are hopes were for the big day. On the day itself Linus and Will conducted themselves with the upmost professionalism dusted with a sprinkling of good humour and fun! They captured the most wonderful moments of our day including the tender and emotionally charged moments that were so special to us and also the fun and crazy moments. Linus was exceptional helpful and professional both in the build up to our wedding and on the day. He was very discreet when taking photos in the church and at the reception and I still can't quite get my head around how he managed to dart across each venue without anybody noticing.

We received the final copies of the photos as soon as we got back from honeymoon and are thrilled with the end result. I'd highly recommend him for any event you want capturing. More...
