This trip sure did exceed my expectations. Right from my arrival in Arusha prior to starting the trek, Mr Alex - the coordinator was clear and precise in explaining the itinerary and what to expect. Our two main guides for the duration of the trek, William and King Seleman were brilliant. They have a wealth of knowledge about the mountain, its nature and wildlife. They were approachable and they sure did make the trek more comfortable through their guidance and ‘pole, pole’ technique. The cook and the team of porters were undoubtedly the unsung heroes during the whole trek. They worked so hard with setting up and packing away the campsites. If it weren’t for the porters, the climb would be a lot harder. All in all, my experience on the mountain was incredible. The goal to begin with was to reach Uhuru Peak as a team and that’s exactly what we done. Thank you to all the team at Leken Adventures for the incredible journey. More...

This was our first safari; we were a group of 3 couples, and our experiences really quite extraordinary. We want to thank everyone at Leken Adventures, from our first contact Alex who promptly answered our many questions while deciding which company to use, but especially our safari guide, Ayub. Our itinerary included 7-day safari Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park and the Ngoongoro Crater. Ayub is a driver spotter, birder-extraordinaire, a lot of fun and he made the best coffee each afternoon! Very good standard, we appreciated lot. Alex is a professional tour planner. We chose the mid-range lodge tour safari, means 6 days/5night in Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park & Ngorongoro Crater. The lodges were beautiful and very relaxing. We took the Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara NP 8-day-tour and we had a great time with the Leken Adventure team. Communication prior our arrival was great with quick response and the driver was waiting for us at the airport as it was promised. Hotel Gateway, which was offered and organized by Leken Adventure team for the pre- and post-days, was a very nice and clean hotel, with good food. (Especially we liked the soup) Next days we went to Serengeti and Ngorongoro where we have seen many animals. Our Ayub was very experienced guide; he knew where the animals are and what they are going to do the next, so we even had the chance to see a lion feeding her cubs with a freshly caught Thomson Gazelle. The food at the lodges during our journey was amazing. We have no idea how come, but it was so delicious like in five star hotels. We were totally satisfied. My daughter and I have just spent two weeks visiting 5 of Tanzania's national parks. We found the company helpful when organizing the itinerary and the trip itself was well organized. The company was very accommodating - even looking after a pack that was not needed for this part of our trip and meeting us at the airport at the end of our trip to hand it back. We just returned from our first safari organized by Leken Adventures with Edward as our guide. With the eyes of an eagle and driving skills on rain-soaked roads that would match any Indy 500 race car driver we were show the best of Tanzania's Northern Circuit.
Our party of 7 has forever been marked by the beauty of the Serengeti, the diversity of its plants and animals and most of all by the graciousness of the people.
We were rewarded with beautiful weather, breath taking views from Tarangire Safari Lodge, elephants, cape buffalo, baboons, birds, monkeys, impala and a couple of lions welcomed us on our first day.
Having Edward as our guide was an absolute joy, He was a wealth of information, had a wonderful sense of humor and always manages to answer my many, many, many questions.
I can honestly say I have never taken a trip where I felt more supported, pampered and cared for than with the service provided by Leken Adventures.

We had a great experience visiting Tanzania. Our guide/driver was well informed. He was always available to answer all our questions about safari in general since this was our first Tanzania safari.
Serengeti National park is the best. We saw all big5. We would certainly recommend Leken Adventures to future travelers. Alex was very helpful from planning the trip to the end of the trip.
Overall, the experience was very satisfying. We have about seven game drives in different parks.
We visited serengeti, lake Manyara, Ngorongo and tarangire national park.

My wife and I did an 8 Day Tanzania Safari for our Honeymoon in May and it was amazing.

Leken Adventure was excellent from start to finish. My father and I joined an open group to do the 7 Day Machame trek followed by a 6 day safari
When booking, Alex was very patient with our many questions and filled us in on at the info we needed.
On the trek, we had Bayo (lead guide), as well as leoans, Peter, and Fred (assistant guides) who were all superb. They really took care of us so that all we had to worry about was putting one foot in front of the other. Honestly the entire crew was amazing. The food was quite tasty, and there was always plenty of it (our cook David was called Mr Delicious for a reason). Everyone was always so happy and such a pleasure to be around, and it really felt genuine. It made trekking up a mountain feel that much easier. The crew would check on our health every day, twice per day, and make sure all was well. The summit night was definitely unpleasant, but the guides and a few porters were there to help us make the last push and we made it.
The safari was equally good. Our guide Karim was so good at finding animals, it was unbelievable. We got to see all big 5 and other rare sightings on top of that. The lodges we stayed at were all great as well.
Transport was taken care of every step of the way, even airport transfers.
I loved my experience with Leken Adventure, and would definitely consider them for any future trekking trips I might do.

Ich bin per zufall auf Leken Adventure gestossen da ich auf der suche war für eine Kilimanjaro Tour so wie auch eine Safari. Ich als Schweizer war von anfang an sehr erfreut über die grosse Zuverlässigkeit von Team, auch die ganzen Angestellten und träger auf dem Berg waren Super Nett und sehr zuvorkommend. Die Bergführer Raymont und Happyson habe ich ins Herz Geschlossen und sie sind zu guten Freunden geworten. Alles wurde uns am Berg Erklärt und auch fast jede Frage über Natur, Kultur und Geschichte beantwortet, die beiden haben mich und mein Bruder in 6 Tagen auf den Kibo und wider runter gebracht. 6 Day Serengeti Wildebeest Safaris Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Safari from Arusha to Tarangire National park.
Our 6 Day Serengeti Wildebeest Safaris begin here. Early after departing from the hotel you will drive to Tarangire national park were you will reach in the afternoon and make registrations before entering the park. You will start your game drive watching animals around the park like the baboons, hyenas, reed bucks, eland and many other species of birds, during the evening you will go back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Safari in Tarangire to Serengeti National park.
After having you tea at morning, you will start moving to Serengeti national park. The safari will take us to have the history of early human at Olduvai Gorge later proceed to Serengeti after long drive. You will reach there at afternoon were you stop for your lunch. Later proceed with our game drive to surrounding nearby area before drive back to the lodge for resting and overnight.
Day 3 and 4: Full Day Game Viewing in Serengeti National Park
You will spend much of 6 Day Serengeti Wildebeest Safaris in this park. You will experience the Serengeti nature by spending a two full day game drive. After breakfast you will begin with your morning drive with an optional tour through floating on hot air balloon. In the afternoon after lunch you will continue through tracking the migrating wildebeest as they crossing the river or dispersal to the plain rich in grass and very little scattered tress. In the evening you will return to your camp for a hot shower and a big rest.
Day 5: safari in Serengeti to Ngorongoro via Masai village
Destination today is the Ngorongoro conservation area. We will start our trip after morning game drive in Serengeti. You will also opt to pass through the Masai village for watching the Masai dances, traditions, and culture which is very enjoyable. You will reach the Ngorongoro in the evening ready for resting and dinner.
Day 6: Safari in Ngorongoro to Arusha.
In the morning, you will have early game drive in Ngorongoro crater through descending into the floor. Later ascend from the floor and drives back to Arusha were we started our safari. You will have complete resting at your hotel or Transfer to the airport for another flight destination.

Machame Route 6 Days 5 Nights Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing
Machame Route 6 Days 5 Nights Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing, this route has a lot to offer apart from it considered as a second short Mt. Kilimanjaro Trek Route; Machame Route is also considered as a second route with scenic views after Lemosho Route.Machame Route
Day 1: Drive from Arusha to Machame Gate
After breakfast will drive from your hotel in Arusha to Machame gate, reaching the gate you will begin trekking 11km from the gate which is an elevation from 1830m to 3050m passing through montane forest habitat. After 5-6 hours you will reach your first destination at the Machame camp where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Hike Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Will proceed from the previous destination moving 5km ahead, this is a height from 3050m to 3850m passing through moorland region where it will take you 4-5 hours, to reach the Shira camp where you will have dinner and overnight
Day 3: Hike Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
A steep hike will start from 3850m to 4000m covering a total distance of 10km from the hut. While trekking you will pass through Semi-desert climate taking you 5-6 hours, to reach the Barranco camp where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Hike Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp
After breakfast you will climb 9km towards the next destination which is a height from 4000m to 4700m through Alpine desert region. It will take you 6-8 hours to reach Barafu camp where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Hike Barafu Camp to Mweka Camp
Just after a midnight will ascend from 4700m to 5895m covering 5km reaching the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro and spend some few minutes. Thereafter we will descend 13km to the height of 3090m from the summit passing through Alpine desert climate. This will take you about 5-6 hour both up and down stopping at the Horombo hut where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Hike Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
Final descent to the gate after breakfast, it will be your last day on the mountain. You will descend 10km from the hut to height of 1680m through montane forest habitat taking you about 3-4 hours to reach the gate. Our driver guide will be waiting to pick up and drive you back to your hotel in Arusha.
