We came across Diana at Language Magnet about two years ago. My Daughter Chloe originally started doing face to face lessons which became increasingly difficult due to our busy schedules.
Since Diana has launched Language Magnet on the zoom platform it has made life so much easier and Chloe is now enjoying learning Spanish from home. Chloe now has a lesson every week, due to this her Spanish has really developed.
Thanks to Language Magnet I will be sending my daughter to secondary school with a good understanding of a second language.

What do you love most about your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my business is seeing young people develop a joy of learning languages, which has the power to open up the world to them in terms of communications, internet, travel, careers, relationships and current affairs. In a global world, giving young people the language skills to succeed is vital.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for many years in the UK state secondary school system, but having experienced the resistance and bureaucracy that is hampering language learning for many of our young people, I felt that my creativity and unique skill set would enable me to serve young people better as a private tutoring business. As well as tutoring online, I also train primary school teachers, who are not specialists in languages, to be able to deliver the Language Magnet course in primary schools.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a qualified teacher and life coach, with a passion for teaching and learning languages. I understand the language learning process, and, as such, I am currently teaching myself seven more languages, which keeps me fully aware of my own students' needs. I have taught languages to all age ranges and backgrounds, including tutoring the child of a professional footballer, and now focus on the Key Stage 2 to lower Key Stage 3 age range, as this is the most influential and life changing age to start learning languages. When a child experiences language learning in a fun and functional way it remains with them for life.
I have used my skills to design an exceptionally high quality French and Spanish course, that is the most comprehensive course for children aged 7 to 13 available on the market. Visionary primary schools have purchased and are using my course to remarkable effect.

In 2017 Language Magnet was nominated as a finalist in the Educational Suppliers Awards, being judged by 16 expert educationalists to be an extremely high standard and expert course.
