LA Rainbow Events

If I could give Karina and her business Rainbow Events 0 stars I would. As my friend in the event industry sad " I don't understand how is she still in business".
This is my first 1 star review ever but I feel that other people need to know the truth about Karina and her horrible service and unprofessional approach.

Emotions aside only facts.
1) I made the biggest mistake to hire Karina for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah without meeting her in person. RED FLAG. She was simply "too busy" to meet in person. I talked to her few times looked at her FB page and believed that she would overdeliver. I was wrong. Please read till the end and DON'T HIRE HER. You will have better options with other hundreds of Dj's with 5+ star please skip her. You will deeply regret if you repeat my mistake. ( As it turned out she had a BAD reputation in the industry already, please ask around)

2) I had an invoice full of items she promised to deliver ( that BTW I paid in full BEFORE the event ...never ever do that with anyone please ) and she simply didn't care about delivering and was very rude to me, my husband and my guests.

3) She showed up to the kids event with one WIRED mic ( like back to 1980 th) and that mic worked only 10 steps from the stage. So kids were tripping over, mcee couldn't entertain our guests or we couldn't have a light ceremony because the heavy not movable set up table was all the way across the room. We couldn't have Challah ceremony in the designated beautiful area simply because she came unprepared. That is considered that I gave her all the details of the event and scheduler in advanced. When I asked WHY she came unprepared she was very rude and sad it wasn't her problem that an entire portion of the event was ruined because of her. Thank God to the venue who brought the mic quickly that evening ( that I paid extra for on the spot) and we could have the most important part of the evening - the light ceremony.

4) My daughter has being preparing to sing LIVE for 6 months prior to the event. Karina practiced the sound with her before the event. She said she was ready. We were recording it for my daughter's BatMizvah present. Guess what?! Karina of course f...ck up the sound and ruined my daughter's performance. She played other music over, then blasted the volume so noone could hear my daughter, completely ruined her entrance and NEVER apologized for it. My daughter was crying for days after it. And still very upset that she doesn't have a beautiful recording of it. Karina didn't even tried to make it up to her in any way.

5) She was just in horrible mood as soon as she came I have no idea why? She seemed just off. Played weird old music that no-one wanted to be on the dance floor and trust me my 100+ guests are all party people and really came ready to dance. We told her NOT to play hip-hop and Israeli music ( simply because we are not Israeli and none of our guest understand it) That is exactly what she played even that we gave her our preference of music. Simple TOP 20 of fun dance music. Nothing complicated.
She refused.
6) When my guests asked her to change the music she simply was very rude to them. They were shocked.

7) Party was supposed to go till 1am and ended at 11 pm because of her. She was awful. No-one could take it anymore.

8) I paid for BODY and Face glow in the dark painting vendor from her, special character, mask for BatMizvah girl....none of that was delivered.

I never leave bad review and I even texted her to give her a chance to make it right. She ignored it. Not a word of apology for ruining our beautiful most important day that we ve been preparing for a year.

I really hope you won't repeat our mistake and if we had to pay this price to save you from such an unpleasant person like Karina, well then it was worth it. Blessings.

P.S I also have to add that only thanks to our wonderful Mcee Cashley kids were on the dance floor and they didn't care about style of music she played. Cashley saved that evening and at least they had glow in the dark balloons. I did see couple of LINES on couple of kids faces. But that is NOT what I paid for with nasty attitude and no apologies for her mistakes and half of undelivered services. More...
