La Belle Assiette are the UK's leading chef service with over 300 chefs across the country. Through their platform you can browse menus from local chefs and book your chosen chef for a dinner party at home. Menus vary from £45 to £95 per person, all-inclusive: the chef sources fresh ingredients, cooks in your kitchen, serves each dish, and does the washing-up before leaving.

DO NOT BOOK WITH LA BELLE. They sent out a notice to all bookings at the end of May that they were shutting down operations and that the website would be completely unavailable as of June 15th. We had our elopement dinner booked with a chef through them that we were then scrambling to find an alternative for. In the meantime, we requested a refund. After a nightmare of going back and forth over a dozen times with them, with no responses or vague responses with no follow through, I was finally able to get the refund processed- but they kept their booking fee. They decided to send out an email on June 8th- 3 days after they have disabled their website for users to manage their bookings- that they had decided they could maintain operations. But by that point, we’d already managed to book the same chef through another platform. I’ve now requested them to refund the booking fee multiple times, but they claimed they could still meet the booking so they didn’t have to, and I’ve already told them that’s not possible since that chef isn’t available to them on that night since we booked him elsewhere. They are no longer responding to any messages I’ve sent requesting the remaining balance. This business practice is completely unacceptable and untrustworthy. We would like to thank George for a wonderful evening. The food was fabulous, it was completely stress free,everything ran very smoothly. From the moment he arrived his service was impeccable. On arrival he greeted us and explained the order of the evening and discussed ingredients. During preparation we were engrossed watching his attention to detail and his passion for what he does. The presentation was better than that of fine dining restaurants in London and similar. George’s explanations of his dishes made our mouths water and we wouldn’t wait to tuck in. Last week I booked dinner with La Belle Assiette. I really enjoyed the evening and delicious food prepared by one of their chefs Wioletta. Simple ingredients, such as pork, were brought to another level and given a modern twist. All the dishes were well balanced and well presented. I have used la belle assiette twice now and both times had such an amazing experience. The first chef was Spanish and the dishes were delicious, and the second one was more contemporary foods with great presentation. Both were amazing chefs and explained about the dishes, we also managed to get to know them better at the end of the evening which was really nice. I have now had two experiences with la belle assiette, both being really fun and a great way to relax and spend time with friends and even getting the washing up being done for you at the end was so lovely. I couldn't recommend it more highly if you have a special evening planned and would like a hassle free evening to enjoy amazing food to impress your friends and family with! Chef Michael created an amazing 6 course tasting menu for a special birthday yesterday evening. The food was lovely, Michael was lovely and my kitchen was lovely and clean afterwards! It was great not having to worry about getting a babysitter, paying expensive prices for restaurant wine and paying for a taxi home. We had a wonderful dinner for two with Chef Chris Bond - a Christmas present for the two of us. Having no idea what to expect we were intrigued and a little apprehensive. What a fantastic experience it turned out to be. Chris devised an innovative and delicious menu which was as good as any meal we have had in Michelin starred restaurants. His delivery and attention to detail were just perfect and, on top of all that, he was great company! We had a tasting menu and Chris provided surprises along the way which made the whole evening fun (I wont put any spoiler alerts on this review). Would recommend Chris very highly and, if you are not sure if this is for you, I can only advise that you try it and I am sure you will be a convert! It was a fantastic evening. Our Chef Daniel Kerr arrived in plenty of time before our guests arrived. I showed him briefly around our kitchen where the pots and pants were and left him to get on with the dinner. He called us to sit down when it was ready and served us the most amazing food using local produce. One of my guests was vegan so she was catered for exceptionally with her courses. Daniel was happy to ask any questions we had and was very forthcoming with the origin of the food. It was our first experience of having a meal prepared at home with a professional chef and I would highly recommend it. Plus he did all the washing up before he left! We had a brilliant evening with Chef Christos Georgakis yesterday - he prepared a beautiful seafood themed menu with fabulous local ingredients. He was extremely professional and very knowledgeable about all his dishes. Without doubt this was an extremely relaxed and enjoyable evening. The interaction with Haydn, answering numerous questions, such as where the food is sourced, how long he had been a chef, gave the evening a more personal feel, and nothing was too much trouble. What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
To ensure the safety of guests and staff, our Chefs have been briefed on all necessary sanitary measures and are fully trained on hygiene and food safety standards. Our chefs have also prepared themselves by taking extra measures in order to carry out their work under optimal sanitary conditions. Masks and gloves will be required for all events for our Chefs. We will also ask that Chefs maintain social distancing measures as per government guidelines at all times
Private Chef Dining
Our bespoke sit-down experiences include ingredients, travel costs, preparation at the client's place, service and cleaning up.
Cooking Classes
Our talented chefs can deliver great masterclasses too. The most popular format is the 2 or 3-hours cooking class allowing you to prepare 2 dishes with the chef (starter+main or main+dessert). But we can also do theme-based courses on specific ingredients or techniques you want to learn.
Cooking classes followed by sit-down meals are the favourite client solutions for hen and stag parties.
