This company were set a very difficult task. The flat we needed cleaning was in a terrible state after the tenant was evicted for wrecking the place. There must have been 3 to 4 years of dirt and grime, and bugs. The property was in a grossly dirty state. Every surface needed cleaning, a number of times. The team did a great job in the time that was allocated to them. They worked flat out to get the property clean enough for us to commence remedial works. What inspired you to start your own business?
My successful cleaning business started in 2010.
Having had a cleaner myself in 2009 when my Twins were babies, I thought part time cleaning is something I can do whilst they were at Nursery; keep me fit and have something just for me. Teaming up with Kerry, one of my best friends of 26 years has allowed me to expand & offer more cleaning services. Kerry also works for the NHS Medway Hospital on the high dependency wards at weekends caring for patients, whilst also being a Mum to 3. Joining forces in June 2014, we have quickly built up relations and the respect of our clients, from Letting Agents, Private Landlords, Care & Support Navigators, Local Councils and Homeowners across Kent

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
• Social distancing of 2 mt or 1 mt with risk mitigation where 2 mt is not viable, must be maintained between workers & householders. In corridors or small rooms, we will be wearing a mask.
• Washing hands or use of hand gels on arrival and maintaining social distancing when entering the home.
• Maintaining good ventilation in the work environment, for example keeping windows or doors open.
• No work should be carried out in a household which is isolating because one or more family members has symptoms or where an individual has been advised to shield - unless it is to remedy a direct risk to the safety of the household or to public safety.
• When working in a household where somebody is clinically vulnerable, but has not been asked to shield, for example, the home of someone over 70, prior arrangements should be made with vulnerable people to avoid any face-to-face contact, for example, when answering the door.
Empty properties: to minimize contact with us we would be more than happy for you to let us in and leave a key with us.

KITCHEN/UTILITY ROOMS
• Extractor Hood degreased externally. Stainless steel filters de-greased if applicable. Universal paper or charcoal filters will be thrown away, please supply new one and we can fit once cleaned.
• Gas or ceramic hob and rings de-greased, cleaned & shined.
• Oven: On request before quoting only (can take up to 2+ hours to clean) burnt on carbon, grease and food debris removed from back, sides and bottom, racks and door. Oven de-greased, cleaned and shined externally.
Stains, rust or ‘wear & tear’ can not be removed.
• Fridge/Freezer all shelves and drawers removed, soaked, and cleaned. Food debris removed. Doors & rubber seals cleaned. Freezers must be empty and de-frosted in advance, so that we can clean it to the best possible level. Fridge/freezer switched off and doors left open to prevent mould. Stains/marks; we will do our best to remove. On request before quoting only.
• Cupboard/Drawers de-grease and sanitised internally & externally.
• Tiles/Splash backs/worktops de-greased, sanitised & shined.
• Sinks/Taps descaled (where possible) sanitised & shined.
• Washing Machine; drawers soaked & cleaned. Rubbers/door wiped clean. Cleaned externally.
• Dishwasher filters pulled out and food debris/gunk removed, steam cleaned and sanitised.
• Lights/windows/doors/skirting boards/walls/radiators/switches & sockets cleaned when applicable.
• Built-in Microwave sanitised & cleaned when applicable.
• Floor/Walls hoovered & cleaned.
BATHROOMS/EN-SUITES/WC’S
• Shower Cubicle descaled and cleaned, steam cleaned (when required), removable shower strainer/plugs cleaned.
• Toilets sanitised & cleaned, behind the toilet cleaned. Toilets descaled (where possible)
• Bath/sinks/taps/shower heads descaled, cleaned & shined.
• Towel rails/radiators/cabinets/shelves/mirrors/ lights/windows, floor & wall
• Tiles cleaned & shined.
• Internal door & woodwork cleaned.
• Extractor Fans cleaned where possible.
• Mold cleaned (where possible). White or clear mastic with black mold around showers and baths sometimes cannot be removed and may need re-placing.
REST OF THE PROPERTY
• Walls hoovered down; marks & dirt removed where possible.
• Cobwebs removed from ceilings, corners, and light fittings.
• All Skirting boards/mouldings/internal doors/ architraves/bannisters/spindles cleaned.
• Door handles/sockets/switches/curtain poles/rails cleaned.
• Shelves/mirrors/light fittings/radiators cleaned.
• Built in cupboards/drawers hoovered out and cleaned.
• Fireplaces/surrounds dusted and cleaned externally.
• All windows and doors are cleaned internally (steam cleaned if necessary)
• Curtains hoovered if required. We are unable to clean venetian or vertical blinds due to a chance of damaging or falling down on us.
• All Carpets are hoovered and edged of dust, dirt and hair. Hard flooring hoovered & mopped.
• Carpet Cleaning: On request before quoting only, cleaned with our hot water/steam extraction machine, using only the best solutions. Wear & Tear should be considered, most stains are removable or will lighten in colour, but this depends on the stain/liquid and how long it has been there, we cannot guarantee a stain can be removed completely. In most cases, 2 days will be required if all carpets are required to be cleaned. Day 1 for the clean & day 2 for the carpets.
• Porches cleaned internally.
• Conservatories frames/vents and glass cleaned internally (we do not clean roofs)
Moving in Clean
K.V's offer a moving in cleaning service, we can provide a full house or partial clean, concentrating on certain rooms like kitchens & bathrooms that are quite time consuming, giving you more time to un-pack.
We also offer in-house Professional Carpet Cleaning using our fast drying extraction system, which we can incorporate into your deep clean.
Pre-Sale Cleaning
K.V's offer a professional top to bottom clean to your property, which will guarantee to create an impact on potential buyers on the all important open day.

De-cluttering & Cleaning
As well as de-cluttering & re-organising, we will also clean, sanitize & disinfect your home; working in a methodical manner destroying bacteria & germs that have built up.
We also offer in-house Professional Carpet Cleaning using our fast drying extraction system, which can incorporate into our de-cluttering service.
Our De-clutter Service can take between 1 - 4 days, time depends on the size of the property, how much clutter needs sorting through, if there is any heavy duty cleaning ie. thick grease to kitchens, limescale to bathrooms, mold removal, pet hair removal, carpets to be professionally cleaned and an overall making good to reverse neglect.
