Kathryn McCann has worked for TVFMC as a Market Manager for our bi-monthly Reading Farmers’ Market since July 2017. Since she started, she has worked tirelessly to turn this rather neglected market into the popular, community market it is now. Kathryn has used her extensive list of local contacts within the area to ensure that the market has a wonderful balance of quality produce stalls which meet the needs of the community. She has an amazing understanding of what the market needs before we realise it! Whatever issues we face or support we need, Kathryn can access and resolve this via her remarkable list of friends, colleagues and acquaintances.Many of our member producers have commented on the positive effect Kathryn has had on the market – it is very well attended and has become a social meeting point for locals, which is reflected in the positive, busy atmosphere. She is ever mindful of the needs of the market and the customers. Her approach with everyone she deals with is fair-minded and beyond reproach.Kathryn has consistently gone over and above what we have expected from her – she takes her role as Market Manager very seriously and has a great sense of responsibility for the future success of the market. Kathryn is incredible. If I could now, but one day I will, I would hire her full time as my Chief Executive of Words.
