Absolute cons!!!! I am in utter shock. We had intermittent flickering lights in the house, and one LED light started smoking and blew up. I called for same day service, but they could only do it the next morning. They sent an electrician who was in the house for less than half an hour. He said that he didn't see anything wrong and the issue had to be with ConEd at the place where the electric cables came into the house, and that it was ConEd who would need to fix it.

The Joseph Weinstein company then simply booked an emergency service with ConEd since non-electricians homeowners aren't taken seriously for emergency appointments. After Joseph Weinstein booked ConEd, they sent an invoice for 1050 dollars!!!! I wish I could post the image here. They wrote on the invoice "Description of work - electrical emergency, service call troubleshoot, electrical circuit problem, found lost neutral coming from Con Edison main electric box"

So basically they were charging 1050 dollars for a visit of less than half an hour which was not even a same day visit and booking an appointment with ConEd, with absolutely no electrical work done on their part and the expectation that ConEd and not them would do the job. Can you believe it - 1050!!!

And on top of that, in the end ConEd came and said that the issue had nothing to do with them. If there was an issue with the electrical power coming into the house from them, the flickering would happen in the whole house at the same time, electrical outlets and appliances included, which was definitely not the case.

I called and they tried to find excuses and justify themselves. I threatened with legal action (my husband is a lawyer) since in the end they didn't fix anything or did anything for us, so I forced them to cancel the invoice. Unbelievable!!! STAY AWAY. They are totally and utterly cons. I will place a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am a genuine customer, am not a review by a competing company or anything of that sort. I called the Weinstein company for multiple jobs to be done at my home and I was very satisfied with their work. The electrician was hired to add lighting to the exterior front of my house as well as the yard area and a couple outlets in my home as well. He arrived on time and did the work in a very professional manner. Not only did he add lighting ( motion sensed ) which made my yard much more accessible and bright he also installed an extra outlet in my garage which made it so much more convenient for me to do things in my yard.
