What inspired you to start your own business?
The fact that my county of Lincolnshire was in the 80s being swamped with indifferent housing that added nothing to the community, just more boxes. I knew it didn't have to be like that, so I started up my business and showed things could be different. Planning committees agreed wholeheartedly with my approach.
