Went to Lilly Locks for a wet cut, have been to Jodie a couple of times. I had my inverted bob cut back. Jodie listened to what I wanted and took it on board, she offered suggestions to slight variations that would look better. It was very calm and relaxing, everyone in the salon was lovely and I was so pleased with my haircut. I have had a lot of comments on how lovely it looks. The online booking system is amazing when trying to work out times and dates that work. Thank you so much Jodie, I will definitely be back again. More...

Absolutely fantastic! I’m new to EG and so glad I found this salon. Jodie (and the team) are lovely and she did an amazing job at refitting my tape extensions which had been done incorrectly by a different salon. She was happy to answer all my questions and was really knowledgeable about her products. My hair looks and feels amazing and I’m already looking forward to going back and getting my colour done. Highly recommended. Thank you! Xx More...

Today I visited Lilly Locks for a consultation for hair colour. I saw Amy, she was very friendly and welcoming. We had decided what to do and then booked the appointment. As the salon was empty I asked if they could fit me in today, and so they did. Amy was quick and so kind, the end result was lovely and natural looking. It was a balayage colour that she did and was done very professionally. The salon was beautifully designed inside and the drinks were lovely. I look forward to return for a cut in the near future. I highly recommend Janos, I had really bad ITB issues which came to a head with me having to pull out a half marathon as the pain was excruciating.
I saw Janos a few days after, following a recommendation by my uncle. He identified the causes of the pain and worked on that area.
After the treatment I asked when I could run again, it was a few days later. I was slightly nervous on the day I ran, I only did 5k as recommended, but you can imagine my shock when I reached 5k I was seconds away from my personal best at that distance.
I see Janos on a monthly basis, so I can treat any niggles I notice when running. Especially now I will be training for a full marathon.

Services

As a sportsman or woman your performance counts. Adding sports massage to your workout routine can improve your performance. As the training hours pile up, so do the aches and pains. These little aches and pains can turn into nagging or even more serious injuries. After a strenuous workout or race sports massage will hasten your recovery and alleviate any pain. Athletes around the world rely on massage as an important part of their training regime. Sports massage techniques, when used regularly can increase the blood flow that is needed for recovery.

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense, contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the strokes are used in classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower, the pressure is deeper, concentrating on areas of tension and pain.

Aromatherapy is one of the oldest methods of holistic healing. Aromatherapy is used to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit with the use of a fragrance or aroma.
Aromatherapy is regarded as an alternative medicine that uses volatile plant materials known as essential oils and other aromatic compounds for the purpose of altering a person’s mind, mood, cognitive function and health.
The treatments have both physiological and psychological effects. The combination of massage and the medicinal and therapeutic qualities of the essential oils (molecules both inhaled and absorbed through the skin) can enabling the body to heal itself.

Massage is a form of tissue manipulation which has developed over thousands of years. From ancient China to present-day Europe it has been used for the promotion and restoration of health. It is the use of hands, or mechanical means, to manipulate the soft tissue of the body, particularly muscles. It can be used for relaxation stimulation or rehabilitation of the whole body or part of it. It promotes suppleness of the muscles, improves circulation and and reduces stress. Massage is beneficial to all body systems and is a natural and effective way to treat both physical conditions and psychological problems.

The candle will be lit at one end and the other end placed in the ear. The heat and movement from the flame cause a gentle vibration and the heat from the candle starts to soften any wax. It works like a chimney with a suction effect. Vapours will circulate within the ear and draw impurities out of it Some of these can take up to 48hrs to be drawn out, but generally can be seen on the ear immediately after treatment. The other ingredients such as bees wax and herbs also have a soothing effect because of their own natural properties.

Reflexology is the practice of applying pressure to the feet and hands utilising specific thumb, finger and hand techniques without the use of oil, cream or lotion. Based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands with a premise that such work effects a physical change in the body. The pressures can vary between gentle and firm depend on which part of the reflex area working.
In general terms, the benefits of reflexology have to do with the reduction of stress. Because the feet and hands help set the tension level for the rest of the body, they are an easy way to interrupt the stress signal and reset homeostasis, the body’s equilibrium.

This massage uses smooth, heated basalt stones. At the start of a therapy, smooth water-heated basalt stones are carefully put to key points on the body and the rest of them you will be massaged. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly. This direct heat is comforting and encourages relaxation. One of the most luxurious treatment. Base oil or essential oils used during the treatment.

Hot stone reflexology is a more luxurious treatment compared to normal reflexology. It is a fantastic treatment to encourage clients to de-stress and reduce anxiety. Many clients complain of having cold hands and feet, thus this treatment can really help to improve circulation simply by giving clients stones to hold or wrapping their feet with stones enclosed.

Indian Head Massage starts with the client sitting in a chair (which must have a low back) to receive their massage. The treatment works on their head, scalp, neck, shoulders, upper arms and face. It involves massage, Shiatsu (‘Shi’ meaning finger and ‘atsu’ meaning pressure) and acupressure techniques. These work to re-balance the area and eradicate negative energy. However, it can be given for longer if required. Most clients do not get any side effects but they can be sleepy afterwards. Sometimes they can get headaches initially after a treatment but these soon subside leaving them feeling relaxed and less stressed and certainly better than prior to their treatment. As with all massage treatments the client will be encouraged to drink water after treatment. This is to aid the release and cleaning of toxins and to re-hydrate them if needed.

Integrated Myofascial Therapy is used for the release of connective tissue which has become stuck, hardened and dehydrated. Fascia is a three dimensional web that surrounds every bone, muscle, nerve, organ and vessel down to the cellular level from head to toe.Restrictions can develop in myofascia from trauma, poor posture and repetitive training.

These restrictions can create pain, swelling, misalignment, poor muscular bio mechanics, decreased range of motion, decreased strength and lameness.
Restrictions in the myofascial system can put up to 2000lbs of pressure per square inch onto bones, ligaments, muscles and organs causing the structures to misalign or become constricted resulting in ineffective muscle usage, poor circulation, build up of toxins, strain and eventually trauma/injury.

Usui Reiki is a therapy often described as palm healing or hands-on-body healing in which a practitioner places hands lightly on or over a patient’s body to facilitate the patient’s process of healing. Reiki is pronounced “ray-key”.

The word is made up of two separate kanji. “Rei”, which means Universal and “Ki” which is spirit, energy or life force. The most common definition is therefore universal life energy. The practice is based on working with, and channeling energy, or a spiritual energy.

When you visit an acupuncturist they use needles to encourage energy to flow through a series of meridians or energy channels that run the length of your body. This energy is called ‘chi’. Reiki is balance. It works on all levels, the physical, spiritual, and emotional levels. Reiki energizes and heals the body.

Massage while you are pregnant is also called antenatal massage. Massage in the few months after delivery is called postnatal massage. A pregnancy massage typically lasts an hour.

Using pillows called bolsters to position a woman comfortably on her side. Lying on your side is often the most comfortable position. Pregnancy massage can include anything from a full body Swedish massage to light massage work that might include other modalities such as circulatory work, like reflexology.

During massage using a specially designed chair your practitioner will use a routine of massage movements to relax or rejuvenate you depending on your requirements. You are seated with your face resting in a cradle, looking down towards the floor, with supports for your arms.

Fully clothed and seated in a relaxed position you can fit it in to a busy schedule. Massaging and stimulating the 7 most common high stress specific areas on the head, neck, shoulders, back and arms.

This massage can provide a relaxing and therapeutic experience for you in many ways. This type of massage is sometimes a free perk at corporate party or event. Some enlightened employers bring therapists in to offer chair massage to their employees.
