About
I'm a creative design engineer with 15 years industry experience specializing in inventing, designing and improving existing products, machines and mechanisms into working and elegant solutions, for seamless integration into processes or hitting a home run in sales.
I take your existing designs and ideas, convert them into CAD models, and then into realistic working prototypes that will give you a competitive advantage because they’re unique. They will look good, function as intended and their cost will be minimized.
If you have a design or CAD model that needs to be finished or started, it doesn’t matter I can work with both, contact me for a free consultation so we can discuss your project and if I can help.
Since starting in 1998, I have become an expert with CAD, having accumulated well above 20,000 hours of experience with Pro/Engineer (now Creo), and Solidworks. I have found that anything anyone can dream, I can model.
I have over 18 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, and have worked with some of the largest companies in the world, such as NASA, Daimler, UPS, FEDEX, Audi, Loblaw’s, Caterpillar, Volvo, and Obusforme. My knowledge and experience is applicable across multiple industries and is not exclusive to those mentioned above.
To give you a little bit more information about me, here is a small sample of my career highlights:
1. designed transmission motors and gears for NASA’s partner CSA (Canadian Space Agency);
2. developed custom transmission seal for FedEx and UPS hybrid delivery trucks;
3. first in the world to create a new concept slurry-ice bathing machine to contain and submerse pallets of produce that float;
4. in one hour, developed a new automotive air intake valve that reduced production cost by 50%; and,
5. researched and submitted my own product design and provisional patent.
My Process:
1. When starting concepts from scratch, I sketch and brainstorm multiple ‘out of the box’ ideas to determine the most feasible ones. I then work out initial calculations and basic sizes. After that, I create or source CAD models and then analyze them (when necessary) using simulations.
2. Next, I create the necessary manufacturing drawings with appropriate tolerances and source the appropriate vendors to send request for quotes and comparisons.
3. After ordering parts, I assemble and test and improve the design if needed.
4. This process can take some cycles to get perfect or acceptable and using my experience, will be reduced and save you time and money, leveraging from my mistakes already made.
Let's set up a FREE live consultation via Skype or phone (book at: calendly.com/jason-boeki). That way I can better understand your job, your goals, and the direction for the project. As well, tell you more about what I do and see if working together would be the best fit for both of us.
