We were looking for a commercial photographer to promote our new drink, Ikoyi Chapmans, and came across Imagehouse Studios web site. We were struck by their amazing 'splash' effect photo's - something we hadn't seen before. We made contact with Andrew and, with the help of his professional advice, created a brief together. What inspired you to start your own business?
Hello, I'm Andrew Oakley, the founder of Imagehouse Studios.
Having been an inventor and product designer for many years, I know only too well how much effort goes into making a great product. This effort deserves to be reflected in the quality of the images used for sales and marketing purposes. In this highly competitive world, it's essential to quickly stand out from the crowd.
My interest in photography began in the 1980's and in the 90's, developed into a wedding, portrait and product photography business. These were the days of licking the backing paper of the exposed roll of film and hoping the exposure settings were as accurate as intended. How digital imaging has changed things!
My career eventually took me on an alternative path and into the development of high technology display and human-computer interaction technologies.
However, in 2017 I took the decision to launch Imagehouse Studios and follow a life-long ambition to open a commercial photography studio, combining not just my passion for photography, but also my knowledge and experience of cutting edge display and interactive technologies. This enables me to offer my customers something unique by helping them to leverage new methods of media delivery, for example, our exciting and highly engaging animated interactive virtual tours.
