Hype Dance Academy offers dance classes to all ages and abilities at our city centre based studios in Sheffield. Drop-in classes are just for fun, fitness or improving your technique while we also offer exam classes. These give the opportunity to take exams with either the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) or the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA).

I was a bit cautious about starting dancing again after not really enjoying myself at other dance schools, but I wish I'd found Hype earlier! All the teachers are brilliant, so friendly and patient. Being 20 it's hard to find a class for a beginner as most dance schools focus on training young children, so Hype is perfect for me as they offer so many open classes for adult beginners, which is so hard to find! The students are all helpful and supportive of one another and the atmosphere is so friendly. I've tried ballet and acrobatics with plans to start more, I think I'm going to become a bit addicted! We booked a one-off session for a hen do, and it was FAB-U-LOUS! The booking was easy, the price was amazing and they even let us choose a song to dance to. On the day they made us feel so welcome, got us in the mood with some prosecco and a fun warm up and got every single one of us dancing.
