What a wonderful find. On a Sunday morning my friend and I were getting desperate to find accommodation for that day for three nights and happened upon The Hostelirie at Goodrich on the Internet. We were checking out of our hotel in Chester and were seeking accommodation closer to London, our next destination. All the staff from reception to check-out were consistently welcoming, friendly and helpful. We could not have enjoyed the relaxed and comfortable setting and interesting historic building and area more. We loved the locals and dogs we met. The food was amazing! Chef Graham and his team created the most delicious vegetarian mains we had eaten in three weeks of travel throughout Wales and England. More...

WOW. Myself and my new husband have just recently held our Christmas wedding here. 09/12/17. Andi and his staff made it exceptional. They gave it their all. Superb 3 course menu with fabulous 3 choices on each starter, main, dessert. Lush mulled wine on arrival. Lovely wine on tables and toast drinks after. Food served at speed and hot. Decorations put up on colour scheme we requested. Room so warm and toasty. They gave extras that was not asked for. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. We wished we had just stayed here as this was the best atmosphere and it seemed no one wanted to leave. Table changes last minute was no problem. Nothing was too much. What we saw last Christmas in 2016 when we stayed the night was what made us book for our wedding. So book here. You won’t be disappointed. More...
