Been there only once so my review is based on that. it's nice for small kids to take lessons on horse riding. The location on map is not dot accurate, hence that would need an edit. Instructors were good.

I have been riding at Horse Haven, whenever circumstance allows, for the last 10+ years and with them have progressed as a child from beginner level riding to loaning my first horse as an adult. The yard has a fun, friendly and safe atmosphere, with a positive attitude towards teaching. Consequently I have always recommended the stables to family and friends, some of which have now become regular clients themselves. More...

I started here three years ago and since then, my riding has greatly improved. The horses are well-schooled (much better than other schools I have been to) and the teachers are all very helpful and encouraging. As well as covering many different aspects of riding in each lesson (and not just walking round in circles), they give great feedback after each lesson, leaving you well aware of what you have improved on and what still needs work. They are also very accommodating and flexible which really suits my busy university schedule. I would definitely recommend Horse Haven, as I have noticed a massive improvement in my riding since coming here and look forward to my lesson each week. More...

I started riding at Horse Haven three years ago after riding at a few other stables. I was immediately made to feel welcome when I arrived. The instructors are all patient, friendly and encouraging, which has done wonders for my confidence and riding ability. The horses are all well loved and cared for with a wide variety of horses and ponies to suit everyone. The lessons are well structured and are tailored to suit the individual rider. There is an indoor and outdoor arena, both with lighting which is great for being able to ride comfortably in all weather conditions. Horse Haven is a great riding school and I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in riding and horse care. More...

My daughter Zoe started horse riding lessons here in April this year. She had been nagging us for years to take her to lessons but we were always hesitant. I am so glad we chose Horse Haven. From the initial phone call until now we have been made to feel a part of the Horse Haven family. The lessons have been fantastic, the instructors give praise when its due and are firm when needed. I find this to be fantastic teaching technique as it enables the kids to learn properly. I feel my daughter has come on massively since her initial lesson. The riding school has both an indoor and outdoor riding arena which is fantastic as Scottish weather is not always sunny!! There is a wide range of ponies for all ages.which are all well cared for and dont mid a nice welcoming scratch. The staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome. I would highly recommend Horse Haven Riding School :) More...

Horse Haven Riding School is fabulous. I took lessons quite a few years ago when I was young and I have missed it ever since. Now that I am a vet student, I decided to revive my skills and started training here. My instructor is very kind, and extremely helpful. I started out a bit rusty, but now my technique has improved 1,000-fold! The horses in the school are great. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I look forward to my lessons all week long and I hope to continue them while attending school here. :0) More...

Since i started riding at the age of 7 i have attended 4 different riding schools and i must say, Horse Haven is the best i have been to by far. There are a wide variety of ponies and horses to suit all ages and abilities, there are two arenas, a large outdoor arena and a slightly smaller indoor arena with a viewing gallery which can be used during bad weather. All the staff are friendly and each instructor is fantastic at their job, i have came on leaps and bounds since i came to Horse Haven and i always look forward to going up there to ride. During the summer holidays, myself and several other girls have went up and helped out at the riding school and in turn we have been rewarded with free riding lessons which is fantastic and really rewarding. I would recommend Horse Haven to anyone, great riding school with fantastic instructors. More...

My experience at Horse Haven Riding School has been flawless. I began taking lessons over 8 years ago as a complete beginner. Straight away myself and my family fell in love with the staff and the animals. I started by taking a weekly lessons at kids club, and worked my way up through a range of classes which suited my abilities. After riding at the school for 6 years, I am now a strong, confident rider. The horses and ponies are all brilliant, with a range of personalities to suit the type rider. Unfortunately I had to cut back on my riding due to my studies, but after deciding on a career revolving around horses, I returned to do some work experience on the yard. Through this, I achieved my senior ABRS award in stable management, something I am extremely proud to have done. All of the animals are very well looked after, and after doing work experience and shadowing a member of staff at the yard I know this first hand. Over the years, I have had one member of staff teach me in 90% of my lessons, Maureen Robinson. My confidence as a rider is strong and rather than just learning walk, trot and canter, I have been taught the various uses and control methods of each of the paces. As well as this, then yard competitions offers the riders a chance to show what they are capable of. I often have returned to take part in the jumps nights. Overall, I could not find a flaw in Horse Haven Riding School. From the staff to the animals, to the girls who help on the yard, it is definitely worth visiting. More...
