Joe helped me with the long-term symptoms of a post-herpetic neuralgia (lack of sensibility and itchiness on the affected side of the face). Since the itchiness is gone. Highly recommended! Having suffered with insomnia for many years & trying almost everything to resolve the issue, acupuncture has been the only thing to work (save for prescription medicine which is not a long term solution) I slept for twice the amount as usual after my first session, and with a build up of sessions sleep with no issues at all. Joe's calm and professional manor really put me at ease in the various sessions that i have had with him over the past three years. He has treated me for pain relief in my lower back, shoulders and neck where i experienced an immediate difference with noticeably more ease of movement and mobility after each session, it's such a delight after putting up with it for so long. In another session for trouble with sleep and insomnia he hit a point that made me fall asleep right on the table in the session with needles still in! I've also had a real stabilizing of my energy levels which took a few sessions coupled with changes in my diet after the nutritional advice Joe also gives. These sessions have made an all round difference to my general well being and my emotional state that just makes life so much more pleasant. If you need an acupuncture, want to try it as a last resort or just to see what is it all about pls go to see Joe. For years when living in Berkshire I was going to a Chinese doctor and when we moved to Oxfordshire I was looking to find a good Chinese doctor or Chinese acupuncturist. How pleased I was to learnt that Joe joined the centre next to my house. I immediately booked myself in and have been Joe's client ever since. Joe is a careful listener, takes note of health indicators (tongue and pulses) and isn't afraid to use plenty of needles to help with pain reduction. Booking on line is straight forward (you need a bank/credit card). Soft music accompanies the treatment. Its an excellent experience for those who don't mind being in the space with others. Other users are quiet and respectful of individuals being treated. I've found chronic pain has reduced, I leave feeling very calm. Joe has come up with a way to make his low cost clinic for acupuncture treatment both non threatening and financially viable for me.
I never feel rushed, he has a warm and friendly professional manner.
The room is spacious and the atmosphere tranquil and safe.
It is so convenient to be able to drive straight there after work and park in the community centre car park.
I’m not the best at technology but the booking and questionnaire Joe set up on his website is straightforward and with practice only takes a few minutes... I don’t even need to remember to get cash as the fee is paid online too. I have experienced all sorts of alternatives to NHS medicine over the years and I can say without any doubt that I haven't experienced anyone as special or gifted as Joe Jennings. I went to him in February, having broken both my wrists in January and been diagnosed as having pretty bad osteoporosis. My GP recommended some drugs with all sorts unpleasant side effects and instinctively I wanted to try a mixture of acupuncture and Chinese herbs instead. I found Joe's number on the net and called him and saw him the next day. "Ah, bones, he said, that's all about the kidneys so we need to treat them". And off we went. I have seen him weekly since then, without fail, and he has treated me for my asthma, for sinus problems, for a bad back, for sexual performance, for a skin condition ... and he's been just brilliant. I haven't felt so healthy for years. Joe is a gentle spirit who makes no big claims for himself and he has had a major impact on my life.
