We have stayed in the Lavender Cottage for 4 days and we have enjoyed it very much. The cottages are cozy, nicely decorated, absolutely clean, very well equipped with kitchen, tv, wifi etc. and the bed is really comfortable. The owner, Barry, is a very kind person, welcoming and helpful for any need. Warmington village is quiet and the area around the cottage is very nice and peaceful. i came across this place as my car broke down in banbury opposite the premier inn...i resigned myself to having to stay over in banbury and thought that i didn't want to give my money to a chain of hotels, so googled places to stay in banbury and hillside holiday cottages was highest rated. ..i phoned for availability and the owner barry even came to pick me up to take me there...how is that for service....beautiful place...cannot recommend it highly enough! I was looking for somewhere to relax for a few days. Normally I go for places a bit further a field but this time I didn't fancy a long drive, so I looked for somewhere a but closer to home and found Hillside Cottages. Although its only 15 minutes by car from where I live, it may as well have been a couple of hundred miles. Hillside cottages a small complex of converted barns in a the charming village of Warmington. I was greeted by the owner who showed me to the cottage I would be staying in. Although not huge it had everything I wanted; a kitchenette, comfortable chairs, an impressive and comfortable 4 poster bed and a fantastic walk-in shower. My partner and I stayed here for only one night, however we both wish it had been a lot longer. Barry, the owner, is an excellent host and went over and above to make our stay special. The little cottage we stayed in was in excellent repair, very clean and had all the mod cons you could wish. The patio area was private with lovely wicker table and chairs and a fabulous wicker recliner. The cottages are close to Banbury, The Cotswolds, Leamington Spa and even Stratford -upon-Avon so lots to do and places to visit. We stayed at Hillside Holiday Cottages for two nights whilst at the British Grand Prix. It is a lovely little studio cottage for two people but very well furnished and decorated to a very high standard. The location is beautiful and we would definitely stay here again when we come back to this area. There is garden furniture in the courtyard where you can sit out to eat or lounge in the lovely wicker recliner! Barry the owner was very pleasant and helpful. We stayed in Lavender Cottage for two nights in February. The cottage was clean and warm with a lovely feel to the place. The cottage was cosy and well designed and had all the amenities we required for a weekend in the Cotswolds . Barry was very helpful throughout the booking process and consistently made himself available to any of our needs or requests during our stay- he ensured we had adequate directions particularly as we arrived late on the Friday night. The cottage was only a short drive away from Banbury village and we walked to a nearby pub (the falcon) for dinner one evening. Stayed at the hillside cottages as a surprise for my partner. What can I say,the cottage we stayed in was called The honeysuckle,the facilities are amazing, four poster bed, the amazing shower and bathroom everything you need for a superb stay. I was attending the Fairport Convention Cropredy Festival -- but I'm not the camping type so wanted accommodation nearby with the opportunity to come and go at odd times. Hillside proved to be an excellent choice. Barry has ensured the rooms are well appointed, clean and with excellent facilities. It is also handy for the British Motor Museum at Gaydon (or even for a business trip to Jaguar Land rover or Aston Martin if you like a bit of independence from hotels). We stayed here as we were exhibiting at Gaydon heritage centre for a weekend at the beginning of June. We normally stay at the Premier Inn in Leamington Spa but we were recommended these cottages by my partners son and his girlfriend as they had stayed here when they came to watch the British grand prix last year. Must admit, for not that much extra money wise, what a massive upgrade this was! The cottage we stayed in was completely adequate our needs and had a lovely patio area where we could enjoy the sun. Barry you are the perfect host, nothing is to much trouble and you go out of your way to make your guests feel special. We stayed in Wisteria Cottage for 3 nights at the end of May with our grownup grandson, it is set in the most idyllic place for a quite relaxing break, but close enough for you to enjoy explore great places like Chipping Camden and Broadway where we spent an hour in a lovely tearoom garden enjoying their hot chocolates and milkshakes, delicious. Would I stay here again most definitely, would I recommend it to everyone, yes I would. We had an amazingly memorable stay topped off with fabulous weather which enabled us to use the lovely outdoor private space outside Lavender Cottage. The cottage itself was small but had a comfortable king size bed and a very well equipped kitchen. The bathroom was newly fitted with bath and shower.
