Highland Magician and Hypnotist

Well firstly I will TURN UP. That might sound obvious, but I have been to a few events, parties etc where the other entertainers either don't turn up, or more likely take another event because they will pay more! One example was working to provide entertainment for guests during their Christmas Day lunch. At least the booking venue had the decency to be honest with me in that they already had someone else (OK, more a children's entertainer) but it seemed they got a better offer at the last minute and I was called in about 2 weeks before Christmas Day to help them out. It did mean going around 120 tables, non-stop, for over 4 hours...but must admit, I did enjoy it and everyone was amazing.

So if you book me...I will TURN UP.

It is cliche, but I do love entertaining people. I do feel sometimes that with some entertainers, they are good at what they do...indeed they are very talented...but they cannot really engage with anyone, they seemed to be trapped in their own ego. I don't pretend to be the greatest magician in the world, but I do bring an energy to my entertainment (ok, that will a little big of ego..but you can forgive me for that....please...). You can't fake enjoyment, and I can, and do, tailor my style to the event.

As mentioned in one of my previous paragraphs, I kind of fell into this. I originally thought I would never be good enough, but after years of practice and developing my style, it became a reality. What has made it easier is that I have always been a people person anyway, so the fact I get to do this as a career seems like a dream come true. Even after all these years I feel very honoured, but of course I never take anything for granted and therefore will enjoy every moment.

Well, not too serious. Those who have booked me include not just the top 4 and 5 star hotels in my area, but also military bases including RAF Lossiemouth and Kinloss Barracks (39th Engineer Regiment). Indeed I have done over a dozen bookings at military basis. The military are, in my opinion, are not only going to make sure that those they book are trustworthy, but given the large selection of magicians and entertainers they can choose from, I do think it speaks volumes the number of times they have trusted me.

Also, as mentioned in a previous paragraph. I WILL TURN UP. What I will NEVER do is take another booking purely because it "pays more". This does and can happen, and it is not how a true professional should treat ANY of his customers. I often get booked for weddings and I appreciate the role I play, and as mentioned in a previous paragraph, when an entertainer suddenly cancels a Christmas Day booking with just 2 weeks to go, that is something I would never do. TRUST is paramount.
