My project (a shop refurbishment/changing the use of upstairs to residential) was complicated. Lindsay was able to suggest solutions to problems I had not even thought of when creating the new layout of the shop as well as the residential development. Obtaining planning permission for converting the upper levels from office/business use to residential was difficult but Lindsey and her team did not give up until planning permission was finally obtained. Lindsey is well connected in the community and this really helped to speed the project along. From the recommendation of builders (who are also nothing short of amazing) to introducing me to the community and holding my hand though this difficult process there was nothing Lindsey was not prepared to do for me. My experience with Hedgehog Development can only be described a phenomenal.

My project (a shop refurbishment as well as changing the use of upstairs to residential) was rather complicated and I had no experience at all. From the first moment I met Lindsay and her team I was convinced I was in good hands. She was able to suggest solutions to problems I had not even thought of when creating the new layout of the shop as well as the residential development. I cannot wait to see the final results now that building work has started.

Obtaining planning permission for converting the upper levels from office/business use to residential was immensely difficult but Lindsey and her team did not give up until planning permission was finally obtained. Lindsey is well connected in the community and this really helped to speed the project along.

I started with a badly laid out two bedroom, 1950’s, conventional bungalow. It was one of the few remaining properties in my area that had not been updated. Looking around at other people’s refurbishments, I was not inspired.I found Lyndsey by word of mouth and researched projects that she had completed. It emerged that I made a good decision. With Lyndsey the process was seamless from the initial design consultation, to completion of the project. Problems with the Planning Department and a difficult neighbour we’re quickly, and harmoniously resolved.She was always accessible, even whilst on holiday. I am Southend born and own a property in the Chalkwell area and have for over 20 years but I have resided in Sydney, Australia since 1989. I had a view to move back to the UK for a period of time. My wife and I wanted to undertake a large renovation to the ground floor of our home. We did an extensive search of local architects and came across Hedgehog Development.

Lindsey came across as professional and very helpful with all the questions we had in creating the flow of living we wanted for the ground floor. She embraced our vision for an open living design and was able to help us condense our ideas into a plan that worked in practice.

We appreciated that Lindsey always responded quickly to queries and was available to support us when building work did start. especially when we wanted to make some modifications to the existing plans. Updated plans were quickly turned around so the builder could continue without delay.
