Have recently installed Thermaskirt in our Lounge & Hallway. Have removed 4 overly large radiators and now have an even heat all around the room. I recently fitted ThermaSkirt (Deco profile) to a bedroom we were updating.The room had a single radiator, and we always had problems with the other end of the room being cold. As a competent DIYer I was able to get to grips with the system and follow the comprehensive instructions to plumb ThermaSkirt into the existing radiator inputs and round 3 walls of the room (with "dummy" profile on the 4th). It now gives a lovely even heat around the room, with less plumbing and upheaval than fitting another radiator (let alone underfloor heating). Added benefit of nice new painted skirting and no radiators taking up wall space. Fantastic product, I recently had a flood in my basement and needed to replace all my MDF skirting boards. I did not want to replace with new MDF or wood skirting boards for in case this happens again and having read reviews of damp proofing basements decided to do sums research into thermaskirtings. My decorators are fitting the new skirtings for me and it looks amazing. The company was super helpful, holding onto the skirtings for me until I was ready to receive them as I do not have space to store them. When I reported an issue to the company, they responded within minutes and sorted it all out for me. I had thermaskirt installed about three years ago. Since then I have needed to call them out twice. On both occasions the response from DiscreteHeat was prompt and helpful. In my opinion, the most telling way to rate a company is by how they respond to their customers complaints and issues. The last issue I had was a small leak from one of the release valves which I emailed DiscreteHeat about on a Friday evening requesting a prompt response from their services department. Not only did I get a call 10 minutes into their work day but Andrew had already identified someone to call me to arrange a visit. Ahmet arrived on time and quickly resolved my issue. We had thermaskirt fitted in 3 of our rooms when we extended as we liked the concept of not having a radiator on our walls taking up space we needed. It is an excellent product, heating the rooms well. I have never before had such good customer service as we received from Discrete Heat. We were let down with the original fitting in one of the rooms (our own fitter) but as soon as we contacted Discrete Heat, we received an instant reply. They sorted out the problem 3 days later. Discovered this product whilst Googling for low profile radiators online. Must admit I was very dubious at the start and took me a few weeks to understand how it fitted together, how effective it would be at heating my flat, how much of it I needed and the various heat calculations. Spoke to Lisa in the office for several weeks before deciding to give it a try. She has the patience of a saint and was extremely helpful and informative, even speaking directly to my plumber to offer advise on installation. Everything is now in place and I have to say I am thoroughly happy 100% with this product after my initial uncertainty. This product has the same effect if not better as regular radiators so you lose none of the heat output but gain all of the aesthetics that you'd expect from the slimline low profile skirting. And yes don't waste your time with underfloor heating unless you have money to throw away or you just want to keep your toes warm. Speak to Lisa. I recently bought ThermaSkirt to replace our dining room radiator whilst renovating the room. It's not quite ready to fit yet but we're really looking forward to getting it installed. Getting thermaskirt is the best thing I have done for my house not only is this my only source of heating but I have been able to zone my home currently my home I split into 8 zones and I do not have to think about heating at all with the help of Lisa I was able to make my decision on using a manifold with wireless thermostats so I can control my home from my phone (who needs hive) I have a top quality product at a more affordable price people that know me know how good this product is. The best bit is I do not have any cold spots in the house so everyone can sit in comfort anywhere and not worry about the cold spots it also allows me to put my furniture where I like without having to leave wall space for radiators. Thermaskirt is better and cheaper to install than underfloor heating it is more convenient than radiators. I work in construction and I am always telling others about thermaskirt heating and no one seems to believe me until I show them photos then I get all sorts of question which all the answers are positive. I can only say good about this system and the staff are first rate and an absolutely a pleasure to deal with.
