Hello. My name is Monika and I am a qualified Person Centred Psychotherapist and I am passionate about what I do. I believe that everyone has to ability to grow, and with the help of a counsellor, positive changes and success can be achieved.

The fact that you have accessed this webpage to find help is a great first step and one you should be proud of. Reaching out isn’t always easy and can be daunting, but once that barrier has been broken, you will be well away on your counselling journey. I provide a safe, confidential, friendly and supportive therapeutic environment which will able you to express your feelings and worries, and allow you to be heard.

I offer one to one therapy for adults, and tailor my counselling methods to suit your needs. I will work with you and provide the time and space for you to build your confidence, increase your skills and be able to better understand yourself.

I’ve worked with clients who do not know or understand what is going on with them, but with some encouragement and guidance, they have found that therapy has been successful in unlocking their uncertainty.

 

Sessions can be face to face, over the phone or online through video call.
Each session lasts around 50 minutes and I offer short and long term therapy. We would regularly review our sessions to ensure that your expectations and goals are being met. 

I believe it’s important to have a good therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and the client which is why I offer a free telephone Consultation which would allow us to be introduced, for me to explain the next steps into counselling and answer any questions you may have. I welcome individuals from all races, religions, cultures and sexual orientation.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work according to their Ethical Framework. I am also a member of the National Counselling Society.

I regularly attend Clinical Supervision and I am fully insured by Towergate to undertake therapeutic practice.  

I also offer a reduced rate for students, those in financially difficulty, NHS workers and Blue Light Card holders.
