Messaged Gavin late on last week with a last minute promotion which I needed loyalty cards for. The turn around time would normally be too long to wait as I needed them by the Saturday, but Gavin managed to pull it out the bag by working late on to get the proofs done and to the printers to be rushed through. What information do you need from a client before you start work?
If you have a budget great, we can work around that. Otherwise we'll discuss the cost of everything before we start so you have a clear cost at the start of the project.
What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?
All printing projects, from 200 business cards to 20,000 flyers. 8 page booklets to 64 page catalogues.
What do you love most about your job?
The creative and originality aspect, the opportunity to design something for a company that has meaning, s story and some history behind the thought process
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was made redundant from Newcastle United in 2013 and the Mrs refused to move to London for a job with Sega, so i decided to target small business and sole traders to offer a cost effect design service on a budget to the quality of the larger, nationwide businesses.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because this is my passion, not my job, I have been a designer professionally since 2000 when I graduated from Sunderland Uni, before that I was doing it for fun and winning competitions in the local community. I have never done anything else and I am doing what I wanted to do when I was kid. It's my pleasure to be helping businesses make money through their design communications and nothing makes me more prouder than a success story that started with Grieves Design.
