We have just returned from a wonderful stay here. I cannot recommend enough. When we arrived we were greeted by Lola the gorgeous boxer and a goat. .we knew straight away we were going to like it! We stayed in room 1 which had amazing views and a great room with 4 poster bed. My partner has a bad back at the moment so the large bath tub in there is just what he needed! Breakfast was homemade and very good quality. We cannot wait to come back! More...

I can't recommend Gratton Grange Farm enough one of the best places we have ever stayed. From the minute I spoke to Rob the owner I knew the trip was going to be good. The farmhouse, bedrooms and breakfast all far exceeded our expectations. Loved the little touches Rob and Kate both go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. ||You won't regret booking Gratton Grange Farm total relaxation and perfectly placed for walks and all the key places such as Chatsworth and Bakewell.||We loved it so much we extended our stay. Arriving at this hidden gem in the middle of no where, your taken aback straight away by the beautiful landscape views that great you. Upon arrival, we were greeted by owner Rob whom immediately makes you feel at home. You feel as you’ve walked into a warm loving place. Such a homely relaxed atmosphere & a really nice welcome. The next to great us were two of the most beautiful boxers that are so well behaved and just love attention. We were given room 3, which is on the top floor of the house. The room was lovely, very comfy bed and a great view of the green countryside, of which we could spot some lovely animals. We had our own spacious and clean bathroom which had everything we needed including a bath and shower. Had a very good sleep on a really cosy & comfortable bed. We were disturbed at one point by a cockerel but it made us smile as it’s an authentic countryside experience. Waking up the next morning to the best smell of breakfast being prepared. A really nice breakfast selection and a really good fresh coffee machine which was greatly appreciated. Rob cooked a great breakfast including catering to my partners fussy eating. Overall I think if your after a lovely authentic countryside stay then make sure this is the place you stay. I will definitely be coming back in the near future. More...

Excellent Bed and Breakfast with a wonderfully warm reception. We felt as if we were staying with friends rather than a B&B. Rob & Kate are genuinely lovely people as are their children and dogs. They all made us feel very welcome. On their farm there is also a goat, horses, ponies and a coupe of cats, all of which kept to themselves but are lovely to see. Our room was spacious and very clean. In our room we had tea, coffee and a welcome biscuit, as well as a chilled bottle of drinking water. The bed was very comfortable, views are stunning and breakfast on both mornings was excellent. We are vegetarian which they catered for without fuss and I am also gluten intolerant which they also accommodated. We could not have asked for more and are happy to recommend this as an excellent place to stay and would love to stay again. More...

What a glorious escape Gratton Grange Farm B&B is!! This location is truly buried in the countryside and is a fully refurbished farm building taken over by our wonderful host Rob. He was so helpful in recommending a restaurant for us to book on the Friday of our arrival. The room and bathroom were both beautifully furnished, very “Shabby Chic”! Breakfast was fantastic, a full cooked English breakfast. Just what you need when you are doing so much walking!! Sorry about this review being a little late - My wife and I stayed with our five children at this lovely farmhouse to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The Peak District holds a special place for us and we've stayed in several B&Bs over the years but never anywhere as beautiful and characterful as this. The whole place was cosy and homely and Rob and Kate were warm and enthusiastic hosts. We really felt that we were sharing their home and they even organised for my horse- mad younger daughter to ride one of their horses - she couldn't believe her luck! Breakfast was great and Rob was a mine of information about the area and kindly booked us in at a local pub for a fantastic evening meal. We hope to return some day when we get the chance and wish Rob and Kate all the best for the future - they've created a real gem of a place! I will say, this is a FARM B&B, so if you shy away from horse smells, goat smells, and the like, you won't be keen to come here. If, however, you're looking for a true, quaint farm B&B experience you've absolutely got to keep this place in mind. The rooms are beautiful, cosy and clean, the views cannot be beat, and the owners are two of the friendliest, nicest people around. My partner and I felt very comfortable here. We had a full English breakfast every morning and spent most of our time going on beautiful country walks (there are many to choose from as you walk off the farm!) As far as our room goes it was always nice and toasty inside (a good thing, as we went in January in the bitter cold!) and the bed was among the most comfortable we've ever slept in. All the furniture in the room was comfy for that matter!! But again, the thing that made it most special for us was the congeniality of our hosts. Their recommendations were most welcome and their friendliness was so refreshing. We would come back! P.s. Feel the need to state once more that this is a farm, so if you are scared of goats, dogs, donkeys, cats or horses, this might not be the place for you. One very docile and friendly goat roams free around the property and the dogs can be seen out and about as well - though you'd have to be a true scaredy cat not to fall in love with all of them right away!
