Completely love Gracie Barra and all Professor’s and coaches! Love what BJJ teaches my kids! Anti bullying, self defense, discipline, and respect. We have been apart of the Gracie Barra family going on two years! You do become family. We started at Gracie Barra in Boca and really miss Professor Sergio and all the coaches especially Coach shina! We had to relocate because we bought a house and fell right in with Professor Wally and Professor Aldo and coach Ted! You should definitely come try a class for free for your kids or yourself! I have been a part of the GB West Palm Beach family for almost a month now. I walked in with little to no experience in BJJ or any other martial art for that matter. But even as I stepped on the mat for the first time, I felt right at home. The atmosphere created by Prof Wally and all of the students is absolutely great. On and off the mat everybody is treated with the utmost respect. But there's also a great sense of camaraderie and friendliness that is as big a part of GB West Palm as its discipline and respectful nature. Not to mention the instructor's clear and objective lessons. He instructs the art in such a way that makes difficult concepts easy to grasp and master. An amazing experience. I have trained BJJ in the past and nothing compares to my experience on the first day at this school. Everyone was extremely helpful and supportive. On every level they were willing to help in anyway they could to make this blind man be another member of the team. Being there first blind student I'm sure came with many challenges for them, but with that said their instruction was so good that I don't feel I missed anything. I feel like just another student in the class and that's how it should be. The first thing I noticed is that you don't just train at Gracie Barra, you study the art of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu under qualified instructors and surrounded by family. If your goal is to rank up as fast as possible and learn advanced techniques in completely random order while rolling live in your first week then this is not the school for you. If you actually want to study GJJ in a structured environment with a proven curriculum and team then you found the right place. More...

Solid curriculum. They have a fundamentals program that teaches you the basics. It is 16 weeks long. After that you can roll/spar. That way you can have fun. In some schools you start rolling right away and you don't know anything, not very fun or even safe.The instructor is very down to earth, friendly, very knowledgable.
