Simon was brilliant for our daughter's joint 13th Birthday disco. Amazing lights and set and he kept the tunes coming that they all loved. Not an easy ask for 56 young teens. MASSIVE thank you to Simon at Goldmine Disco, for such a fantastic disco, everyone had a really great time, at the charity Halloween fundraiser.
The kids absolutely loved the funky disco lights.
Simon is great, nothing was too much trouble, helping out with requests.

Simon did an amazing job for my daughters 6th birthday disco. He created a great atmosphere and did all the party games, so I didn’t have to worry about anything!
Florence and her friends had a brilliant time. A few of the parents have already asked for his details, I couldn’t recommend enough. Also a much more reasonable price than a lot of kids party entertainers I looked at!

only just noticed this on here . I will be more than happy to give this disco a 5 star review we have used goldmine several times and used it when simons father was alive as well this is one of the best discos about and seems to be able to read the audience and get them on their feet. Which is what's its all about.

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Having a DJ or entertainer who engages with their crowd, knows how to read a dance floor and is able to keep all guests happy throughout the duration af the event. Encouraging people to come and talk to me also helps as they can ask me for songs to be played which I will always try to work into whatever styles of music I am playing, even if it means doing a mini set of a certain genre in order for me to play their request. That way everyone gets what they want. Having a decent quality sound and playing at a reasonable level also means those who don't want to be on the floor, but sitting down tapping their feet can also enjoy a conversation without shouting to the person next to them.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I would have to say I have a multi genre. I don't adhere to a particular music style, just playing hits which people may have forgotten or puts a smile on their face when they hear it come on. So long as the dance floor is busy that's all I care about as far as style goes.
What do you love most about your job?
Having the ability to stand there for an evening, playing some great music which everyone will love at some point. The most satisfying part of it is getting an applause at the end of a night, this always tells me that everyone has had a good time and i have done my job to the absolute best of my abilities. I don't give anything less than my best whatever the occasion.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The business was set up by my dad, who, sadly passed away in 2008. As a boy, I would go out with him to do the kids parties. When I turned 16 he bought me my first set of decks to get me started. Since then, i have taken on the show by myself and built up the light show to be of a professional standard using high end moving heads, lasers, enhancers and wash lighting. It has now become my favourite pass time and i hobby as well as a business. Something which i love doing and take great pleasure in running the show.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are a small, family business who keep our costs down for our customers. If you book with me, you only get me as I don't sub contract work out and I don't employ other DJs to do my bookings. I strive to make your experience as personal for you, as it is for me. In the unlikely event I can't do your booking (I would have to be in a coma for this) I have 1 other local company who have the same standards and values as me who will cover for me. If you enquire with me and I am unable to do it, I will also recommend this company to you.
