Most designers you meet are 'innovative' and 'creative' and Charlotte is no different. However, the reason that she IS a cut above the rest is her ability to translate any industry into a sleek, intuitive and contemporary format. Her decisiveness in business application of her work and answering the question from the customer: 'Well, what do you think?' With more than just 'It's your design/brand' is what makes her really stand out. Highly recommended.

I worked with Charlotte briefly during her time with Echo Web Solutions and can't recommend her enough for your design needs. She was quick to adapt to the challenges thrown at her and produced quality content when requested; along with being broad and flexible with ideas. Her creativity is certainly something that sets her apart from the average graphic designer.

Charlotte got all my new web site changes done and completed within a couple of weeks (rather than months). Excellent customer service and always explained processes and jargon, so I was never in the dark. Her friendly manor and ability to listen made it easy to work with Charlotte. I highly recommend Charlotte! Will be using again.

Ginger Graphic's Q&A

Ginger Graphic's Q&A

What makes a great website?

It must be able to multitask and do many things at once. Some essentials include:
- Putting the user / target audience for the website first
- Being easy to use. If training is needed to navigate the website then it is too hard and the layout needs to be rethought.
- The website must be able to respond and layout to any device it is loaded on. This way text can easily be read and information clearly understood.
- The design should appeal to the target audience. For example if the target audience is teenage females, then teenage females should love the look and feel. It should not appeal to other audiences at your the cost of your core target audience.
- The website should meet the businesses goals and objectives of its owner. After all design is visual communication with purpose.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

Questions are tailored to the project, but some general questions that always get asked are:
1). Why do you need this new project?
2). What are you trying to achieve?
3). Who do you want this project to appeal to?
4). What is your deadline?
5). Do you have any existing designs or collateral? Brand guidelines?
6). Describe your target audience.
7). Do you have a fixed budget? This will dictate the level of finishing like print materials for example and if it's a website how much bespoke software can be built in the site. Or what type of photos we can use I.e stock over photo shot.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

Think about what you are trying to capture, narrow it down to one thing only. Frame it cut out everything that is superfluous. Also try and capture something different and personal. Use the camera to capture what is missed or not normally seen with the human eye. For example slow motion shows up different movements you may not even have known existed. Or an emotion that is hidden until frozen in time.

What information do you need from a client before you can start work?

I will ask you questions so we can discuss the information and requirements together. Some general questions that always get asked are:
1). Why do you need this new project?
2). What are you trying to achieve?
3). Who do you want this project to appeal to?

What do you love most about your job?

Meeting lots of different people from many industries learning all about them then using my creativity to give them a finished project we have worked on together. I also like that I never work on the same thing twice everyday I learn something new.

What inspired you to start your own business?

For two main reasons. Firstly, I wanted to get more involved in offering a service I had full control over and make more business descions. This way the service would meet higher standards I could monitor.
Secondly, I wanted for freedom when working and flexible hours so I can do my volunteer teaching.

Why should our clients choose you?

My pricing is fair and honest; I will refund the hours I do not use.
Although I need to make a living, money is not my main motivation. Engaging work, having happy clients and job satisfaction are on the top of the list.
With all creative briefs I love to put my heart into a project, get fully immerced so I can give you a job I am proud of putting my name too.
