What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about this job is the uniqueness, first hand responses offer essential insights informed by the day to day experience within a diverse range of careers and focus areas, including substance abuse counselling, grief and general mental health. The best thing I enjoy about my job is that you have the opportunity to be part of your clients life in such a powerful way as any educator does. You can build such strong relationships and having the opportunity to just be there for them and to listen. Seeing your clients utilizing the skills you teach is a great feeling to know that we are equipping clients with the skills to become their own self advocates.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked with the inpatient and community setting as a Mental Health Nurse for over 13 years I have gained experience in all areas of Counselling, Mental Health, and learning difficulty including dual diagnosis and substance misuse.
I have the passion of listening and be able to solve people’s problem, I put smiles on the faces of clients I have worked with while working with the East London and NHS foundation trust, this ga e me the confidence needed to start supporting people and being able to solve their problems.

At Gideon, to enable people to feel comfortable enough to do this, our primary aim in counselling and supported housing is to always offer a safe, compassionate, and non judgmental space.
Through this we hope to encourage and support individuals , in their own time, to be open, understand their difficulties and take positive steps towards the changes they desire.
We like to work flexibly, integrating different therapeutic techniques to enable a collaborative and adaptable approach which can be tailored to your therapeutic goals and needs.
I am a member of the National Society of counselors after obtaining a certificate in advanced counseling and psychotherapy from ABC Awards Quality Licence Scheme
