Gemma is just wonderful and I can’t recommend her enough!
She has cured me of SEVERE INSOMNIA (over one and a half years of sleeping only 2 hours per night).
I’d fall asleep like a log but would wake up 2 hours later, regardless of what time I had gone to bed, and I wouldn’t fall asleep again.
I felt like a zombie every day and it took every bit of force I had to function at work. My exercise regime took a dive due to lack of physical energy, and I ate constantly to keep awake. I even struggled to form coherent sentences by the end of the working day. And yet, I would not sleep at night. It was like torture.
I tried so many other types of therapies before, including every herbal, and over the counter and prescribed medication. Nothing worked. A friend recommended Gemma and I have never looked back.
I was a hard nut to crack but she is the woman for the job, ever so gently, but ever so effectively. From the very first time we spoke on the phone to book my first appointment I felt like I was in good hands. I know she has treated successfully other similar insomnia cases and that her former patients are still enjoying a good night’s sleep years later. So this is no quick fix now, crash later. It works for good.
Of course, Gemma treats all sorts of other complaints, and she treats adults, children (she has two of her own), and babies.
I feel like I’m living again and it’s a wonderful feeling!

As a personal trainer I'm obviously very active and I continually put my body under continual physical stress. Even with best practise, wear & tear can inevitably take it's toll and I had developed an intermittent, but sharp, knee pain.
Having gone through rest & 'conventional' treatments, the problem would come back. I've never had acupuncture before and didn't think it could help my injury but, having spoken to Gemma, I decided to give it a go. I am now kicking myself for not having started acupuncture treatment with Gemma sooner!!
A very knowledgeable & professional therapist who explains all and puts you at ease. And the knee?... Totally sorted within a couple of treatments! Thank you Gemma - I can't recommend you highly enough!

I met with Gemma for three acupuncture sessions for a range of issues- eczema / blocked sinuses / allergies. This was around 4 weeks ago. Since then I am very happy to report that my blocked sinuses have disappeared completely, my allergies are non existent, and the eczema is healing. So I fully recommend Gemma. I went to Gemma for antenatal acupuncture during my second pregnancy as I had been 17 days overdue with my first child and had an emergency Caesarean.
So I wanted a therapy that would help bring on the birth at the right time and hopefully help me to have a natural birth. Gemma made me feel very relaxed and able to talk about all aspects of my health and well being.
My second child was born only 10 days overdue and I had a natural birth!
I would highly recommend Gemma.

My experience with Gemma at the sessions has been very positive, she has a very calming down to earth approach along with an ability to listen to your symptoms whatever they may be and then apply that insight & knowledge to her acupuncture treatment, which has been excellent. I would definitely recommend acupuncture and holistic treatment for a wide range of issues, and as a side note to those who may be anxious about just receiving acupuncture, relax! As an acupuncture 'virgin' I was very impressed with the results that came from working with Gemma. I saw her when pregnant with my second child: the first time to help shake a persistant spell of illness - I wanted to avoid taking too many drugs - and the second when I was overdue and very anxious about my forthcoming birth experience.
I believe Gemma made a real difference on both occasions. Her calm, friendly, informed approach was appreciated and I felt relaxed yet energised after treatments.
Despite my fears, I also managed to be relaxed during my birth - it was a calm and 'in control' experience, quite in contrast to my first! I'm pretty confident that acupuncture played a part in this. So thank you Gemma!

After a long time of dealing with migraines I decided to try acupuncture for the first time. Gemma was extremely nice and professional. Her very friendly and calming treatment made me feel very relaxed and made me enjoyed our sessions a lot. I haven't had a migraine since and hopefully it will continue that way. Gemma saw me at very short notice on a Saturday when I was at the end of my tether with hip and back problems.
I have been suffering with chronic hip pain for 4 months constantly then more recently my back and hips starting 'locking up'.
I have been seeing several different physios, chiropractors and deep tissue therapists during this time, all with some degree of improvement but nothing like what I experienced after just one session with Gemma.
I don't know how it works or why it works so much better than other treatments, but for me it worked... it worked to such an extent that I went from being in constant pain and discomfort, needing strong pain relief daily, to taking absolutely nothing and being completely pain free.
Gemma is kind and warm but also very professional. She is not judgmental or self righteous in her field of expertise. I recommend her highly.
