I had a loft conversion and the
Work was carried out to a good standard and they completed on time.
Very cost effective and worked with me on charges that I requested outside of the original plan.

Promises Big, Delivers little... Very Little. Unable to follow an engineer's plans. Claim to know how to convert garages and remove chimneys but are completely out of their depth.
They lack knowledge of the job they agreed to undertake. Did less than a weeks work but were prompt to request full payment. Left my entire house uninhabitable and still wanted payment for works not done.
Used a subcontractor who accused Building Control of being difficult but refused to acknowledge that their work was not to the basic standard. My Advice: Steer Clear. very poorly managed business lacking knowledge and experience and frankly speaking... are chancers.

If it was possible to give a review I would have given minus. There is complete communication issues, Ignoring you completely and just doing there own stuff. I am still waiting to recover part of my money and the guy completely left site for three weeks once I challenged the way work was going to plus money taken. We would be seeking legal redress on these and they also do not have business accounts etc which should have been a warning sign but lessons learned. My advice don't pay anyone call Chamos any money upfront and if you do make sure you buy your own materials. Better avoid all together. Preparing paperwork to close these cowboy downs. The reviews look suspicious and he may have gone under radar but he would come with new company etc. It seems like a scammer avoid at all cost. More...

You requested a number of additional works which were carried out at your instructions and when you were asked about payment for these you explained that all you had left was the remainder of the project. When we advised on how to complete the remainders you refused and seeing that you had neither the funds nor the intention to pay as you retracted the payment for our joiner we had no choice but to leave your project. How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Most garages are suitable for conversion, provided they have adequate foundations. Most garages are built with minimal construction as their primary use is for storage, so you will find that they are not properly insulated, water tight, electrical, plumbing etc.
Depending on what the conversion is for, the amount of works involved on the existing structure can increase i.e. converting the space for a bedroom assuming foundations are adequate will need the floor to be made watertight, screeded to level, walls to be insulated, ceiling to be insulated, roof works, windows, electrics etc.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Have an inkling of what you want to use the space for? Decide on the type of usage of what you want for your.
Converting into a living space i.e. Living room, bedroom, kitchen etc
You will need to decide what you want in the garage or get in touch with an architect/surveyor to produce a visual representation of your dream space.
Whilst most conversions won't generally require planning permission ( Unless the garage needs to be knocked down and re-built, or protected building status) , building control still needs to be notified to ensure the build is compliant with the building regulations.
Tendering and contractor selection- Once you're happy with a reliable contractor give the OK for works to begin.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
This is pretty straight forward almost all lofts can be converted, depending on some key structural indicators and the type of loft conversion you want the price can vary.
If you have a minimum head height of 2.2m from the ridge your loft should be good for a conversion. Otherwise you will have to look into extending the roof height.
Floor joist, these will need to be reinforced or new ones need to be built to support new flooring and increased loads.
Roof type? rafters or trussed support, depending on the type of roof support considerations for new structural support will be needed.

What inspired you to start your own business?
My passion for the indurstry was sparked when I embarked in my career as a facility manager. Whils working for Watford foot ball club I had great opportunties to manage hard facilities which oppened my eyes to an industry that i developed an instat passion for. I enjoy the process of design to build, renevations and extentions, being able to look at a space and maximise it use whilst meeting and exceeding my clinents needs snd expectetions.
working in Facilities I realized I was very interested in the building works aspect of my job. As I continued to carry out different types of construction projects
