I travelled with TrekAmerica on their Canyon Adventure trip, which starts in Vegas and then goes through the national parks and canyons in Utah and Arizona. I could not recommend this trip highly enough - in 10 days we saw and experienced so much - a real highlight for me was camping overlooking Monument Valley - incredible!I was slightly nervous the morning I went to meet my group, but I didn't need to worry at all - not only was everyone on my group really friendly - they were all in the same position as me, travelling solo! It was awesome to share this incredible experience with a group of likeminded travellers - and our guide was great at making sure we squeezed the most out the time we had. Amazing Trip! Great Leader! I mean, the photo pretty much sums it up! Of course there were bumps along the way, in my opinion that is part of the adventure! In fact, I have never been on a vacation planned by myself or a tour group that hasn't had a bump or two. What counts is the way the leader handled any challenges we faced. In this case, our leader was a star! For example, we got poured on while canoeing - but the leader made sure everyone had smiles on their faces and in their hearts during a cold wet time! Just got back from my first ever tour and absolutely loved it. I was a bit nervous at first, but it's a great way to meet other solo travelers and we got to see some amazing places. Recently joined TrekAmerica for their Atlantic Dream tour as having travelled most of the Western US and National Parks I wanted to experience some of the culture and deep south. My group was absolutely fantastic and being new to small group travel I was anxious at first as to how being a solo traveller would play out over 2 weeks with the same people.How wrong I was; I had an amazing time and came home with a book full of stories and memories that I haven't been able to get from travelling with 1 other person in the Western States.Some of the places on the trek cause the local activities to be a little on the pricey side, which I hadn't considered at first - but that's because I embraced every activity and did 2 universal studios in 1 day - you only live once right?Also, shout out to Jody our absolute star tour leader! I have just returned from Hawaii and have previously done Southern Sun. Hawaii was just amazing and out Trek leader Mike was awesome! Camping, sitting around chatting and the camp fires being simple things but make the memories, along with all the big stuff. southern sun allowed me to have a snapshot of America and Nicole the leader of that trek was amazing too! Thinking of doing the “Coast to Coast north” trip sometime this year or the following. Was really excited at the concept and the itinerary sounded awesome but upon looking up reviews I stumbled across a few angry customers. This shocked me as it was in direct contrast with the friendly staff I spoke to at a travel expo and someone I know who has been previously. Any advice anyone can give on the matter? I went with Trek America back in 1981, I travelled across America on a trip they called the Southerner, 37 years on I havnt had a holiday that has come close to the great experiences I had back then, I can’t see how this company made money out of me, it was excellent value for money and non stop fun

Had such a blast on our Atlantic BLT tour with Sam. Got to see so much, and she puts her own little twist into it which I loved! Always looking for the best places to go for lunch or to stop at on long drive days. She definitely made our trip what it was, we had the best group of people. I experienced the Mountie tour & would 100% recommend it! It is hands down the best tour I have ever been on. The camping component meant we started working as a team from the get go & the size of the group really impacted that team mentality. The sights were epic, lead by a fantastic tour guide who had background knowledge on all the locations & really helped us build a little fun loving family. I’ll have friends & memories for life. It was the best trip I have ever been on. My tour leader Jen was so nice and funny and even cooked for us on our last night and my group was just amazing, couldn’t ask for a better group. I did Glaciers and Grizzlies which is a plus tour so we stayed in hotels. They were really nice. Especially Silver Creek Lodge in Canmore. Perhaps this is a moment of reflection or just me reminiscing as i myself now have children who are slowly adopting the travel bug that I have. I felt it apt to just to say a huge thank you to this fantastic company and team for embedding that feeling of wanderlust in my soul. Back when I was a naïve 20 something (I´m now nearing 35) I embarked on what can only be described as the road trip of a lifetime with Trek America. We covered the pacific coast highway, Vegas, San Fran, Boston, San Diego, LA etc in 2 weeks. I made some amazing friends, who to this day I still keep in contact with from all over the world and have memories that have never faded. The trip really started something and gave me a goal…I saved hard and many years later booked a one way ticket to Bangkok. I spent 18 months travelling SE Asia (Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia), Singapore and Australia. Alone. Me and my backpack! I want to show my kids the aventures you can have in the great outdoors as your team leader did with my group...S´mores on the BBQ etc. Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy. I learnt a lot about `me´ on that trip with Trek America. I really grew within. Travelling with many different nationalities all as solo travelers stretched my boundaries, forged lifelong Friendships and made me realise that if we all strive to live in a place where we are respectful of each other’s way in life, only the pursuit of happiness will be our goal. At the start of these adventures I was larger than life. Everything became more intense and less commonplace. Life was vibrant, I was constantly learning. Even after booking the trip with you, friends said I was crazy. Back then solo travel was a little unheard of, but you know what…I’m not insane, they are! Working long days, missing out on life, buying into consumerism and engulfed in social media. I was not wrong, I was not irresponsible, I was awakened. Most travel initially to lose themselves; then to simply find themselves. Travel opened my heart and eyes. I learnt more about the world than the newspapers would ever teach me. We all travel to bring what little we can, in our ignorance and knowledge, to those parts of the globe whose riches are differently dispersed. We travel, in essence, to become young fools again – to slow time down and be taken in. I hope that all those who contemplate booking with TREK AMERICA stop thinking and just go for it! You will not be disappointed! I can’t wait for my children to get a little older so I can bring them on one Their family adventures! Recently returned from the Antigua to San Jose BOLT tour, had an amazing trip with some great people!! The tour Started in Guatemala passing through El Salvador, Nicaragua and finishing up in Costa Rica. This was my 3rd trek with TrekAmerica and therefore knew what to expect and being the oldest in the group didn't bother me as I'm an easy going bloke and they were really easy going, friendly bunch. :) The tour itself went to some amazing places which I had never dreamed of visiting but this tour made it all possible in a short space of time!! The Tour Guide was brilliant initially, until his incompetance showed after a few beers and then threatened to excute physical violence against me... a real sour note to what had been a great experience especially as we'd had a laugh in the earlier part of the tour!!! Furthermore no apology whatsoever, forces me to highlight this!! Thoroughly recommend this tour and the company... but just watch out for what tour guide you get!! More...

I don't like being a cliche, but this really was the best thing I've ever done! I did the Westener 2 blt, and it was so jam packed with amazing experiences I'm still processing it! Our tour leader, Jess, was incredible- it was only her first year and she made such an effort to involve the whole group in everything, went above and beyond (drove us on the free days etc) and her constant positivity made the trip a real treat. I understand why this trip is so popular- it covers such an amazing span of activities- from city breaks to hikes in wilderness, that you feel like you've covered the entire country by the end of it. There is a lot of driving, admittedly, but if you've got a good group, tour leader and playlist you'll be fine. All the accomodation was brilliant, even the hostels. The only iffy one was in Yosemite, but it still had a clean bed, showers and was warm so can't complain! We were just used to massive double beds in Vegas at this point haha. Personal highlights were the Grand Canyon and San Diego. Although we neadly died in the Grand Canyon (I'm kidding obviously, although we did fall over a few times. That Canyon is slippy!) the views are breathtaking and can't be explained. All in all, I can't recommend this tour enough. I was so nervous before that i wouldn't get on with the people, that it would be too much driving, that I'd get tired too quickly and wouldn't enjoy myself. But you can do every day at your own pace, and Trek America seem good at picking great tour guides (which is so important, as they definitely make or break the trip). I'm already planning my next tour, although who knows how it'll beat this one! If you're thinking of booking- do it do it do it!!! More...

I did Westerner 2 and l absolutely loved every second of it. The people l meet were all very nice and we bonded really well as a group, my tour guide was also really awesome, knew what he was doing all the time. This year was my third trek with Trek America. It was amazing again. I did the Canadian Road Trip from NYC to Vancouver. It was great to meet an awsome group and it was a great surprise when I heard that the touleader of my first Trek would be the tourleader of this trek. On the Canadian Roadtrip are amazing Citys, National- and Provincalparks. It was nice to see all the wildlife like bears, moose etc.. The Highlight of this trip was the Glacierwalk, Lake Morraine and Lake Louise. This year I had the luck to spent the Independenceday with an amazing group in the USA. Just did the trailblazer, absolutely loved it. I guess I got lucky with my group because I class them all now as really good friends and am still in contact with them and will keep in contact with them. Some of the places we visited were just unbelievable, waking upto the sunrise in monument valley is when it hit me on how amazing America really is. I would highly recommend doing the trailblazer if you have the time and money, I'm pretty much skint now but it's so worth it. If you're reading this and your not sure just go and book it, you will not regret it. The only thing I'll say though from my point, I don't think it would have been half the trip without the people you meet, made friends for life and that really is worth saving up for a year and half for. Also big shout out too Phil Novak and Tyler Wood for doing such a great job being our trek leaders! � More...

I'm not sure what my expectations were going into the experience, but my trip definitely exceeded them! I did the June, Rocky Mountain High Trip and loved it! Trek America is a great value for your money. It's such a relief not to have to be involved in the logistics or transportation of a trip like this. All you have to do is show up to your departure location and let the guide take care of the rest. Guides are passionate about what they do and give it their all to make sure their passengers are getting the most out of their trip (shout out to David Goldstein). RMH let me see the best of the best of America's western National Parks and was 3 weeks of pure fun. You're co-travelers will feel like family by the end of the trek. I would highly recommend Trek America to any American or Foreigner who is looking to explore America's Natural Wonders in a group setting. More...
