I came to Fran to alter my WED2B wedding dress and overskirt in late 2019. Fran advised it was too soon to have these altered for my May 2020 wedding, but was kind enough to offer a quote from the pictures I sent her. I visited Fran for the first time right before the first lockdown, and she was both professional and friendly, understanding everything I needed altered. Due to the pandemic, we had to postpone several times, and Fran was incredibly accommodating, keeping them with her until our final date, and adapting to our schedule for the second and last fittings. Fran is a genius! So talented and creative and also such a warm and friendly person. I will miss going to see her!Fran was recommended to me by a family member and from our first meeting I had complete confidence in her. I knew she would make me a beautiful Mother of the Bride outfit that I would be comfortable and happy to wear and I was right. She just seems to have an eye for what will suit you and offers advice and guidance but also listen too. She works in partnership with you to create your dream outfit. Like many women I have some hang ups about my body shape but after each meeting with Fran I left feeling more confident! At the initial fitting I put on the toile she had made for me to try and she literally created the style on me by drawing with a fabric pen where the panelling would go to create the slimming effect. It was amazing to watch my dress take shape on me! The finished dress and jacket was stunning! I have never felt so good in a dress before. My husband of 41 years said he’d never seen me look as good in anything since my wedding dress! This from a man of few words! Fran is so talented and offers a truly professional and personal service. Her prices are reasonable for the service you receive. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I took my wedding dress, which was purchased at another boutique, to Francisca for alterations. Aside from shortening the hem, the dress needed major alterations to the bodice, bust and shoulders, which were delicate and heavily beaded. Her work was impeccable and she was a joy to work with. She also created a bespoke veil for me that complemented my dress perfectly, and the dress itself fit like a glove. I did not have a clear vision of the dress I wanted but I explained how I wanted to feel then showed Fran our venue(s) and she completely understood. The wedding dress Fran designed for me was stunning and the finished product was even better.

Fran is professional, reassuring, patient, well-organised and a pleasure to work with – so much so that I asked her to make one of my dresses for our traditional Nigerian wedding as well. Each fitting was a pleasure due to her friendly nature and it always felt like I was hanging out with a friend.

I wear a lot of dresses generally but my wedding dress and evening dress were both show-stoppers - I still receive compliments on them months later. From the moment my sister introduced me to Fran she made me feel at ease and comfortable. She made all our beautiful bespoke gowns including my Best Woman's and my Sister's dresses, both of which were stunning!!
The gown Fran made for my day was absolutely breathtaking and although the Bride gets told she looks lovely all the time...I was told ALL day and night!

Fran is warm, patient and professional. Not only is she an innovative designer, but also has great people skills- She alleviated any anxieties I had in the lead up to the day and supported my decisions and indecisions! :) She always made me and my family feel welcome, and at home and her service is tailor made to you.
