Q&As

To achieve your goals you must have a plan and your progress must be monitored periodically.

You need a Trainer with experience and expertise who realises the plan doesn’t just stop at the exercise programme. You need to make sure your diet is where it needs to be and of course you need to find ways of fitting your goals around your busy life, not the other way round.

You will need motivation when it feels too tough, and it helps to have a friendly Trainer who takes an understanding yet motivational approach so that you remain on track to your goals.

Really I like to take care of as much as possible so that you don’t have to. More time to do the things you want to (you don’t need to spend hours researching exercise routines, reading about nutrition). I have the qualifications, experience and skills necessary to get you to your goals. This means you just have to show up for your sessions and follow the routine set out for you.

I’ll start by saying it doesn’t come easy however it’s probably easier than you think.

There’s no one size fits all approach here. I hear a lot of slim people say they want a bit more weight but don’t want to put on fat. I hear a lot of people who are stockier say they want to lose weight but don’t want to be too thin. Instantly just from those two examples there are two different body types which need to go in different directions to get to where they need to be. On top of this there are loads of considerations other than body type to consider.

Resistance training is a must to get in shape whether your goals are to put on muscle or lose weight. Yes, you can train with weights and not have massive muscles. Resistance training helps increase your metabolism which will help you to lose weight. To put it simply the reason bodybuilders and strength athletes tend to get big muscles is they’re lifting heavy weights and eating thousands of calories a day.

Cardiovascular training is important for those putting on muscle; you want to keep your heart healthy and stay lean. If you’re trying to lose fat stores you’ve got to create a calorie-deficit. You need to be expending more calories than you take on, you need to know how many calories your body burns at rest however. I can help with that.

Last but definitely not least two more factors which are often left neglected. You need the right diet and you need to set the periodic goals to keep yourself motivated. Once again no one size fits all to these but these factors are so overlooked. They can make or break you in terms of achieving the body of your dreams.

I love that I can go to work and make a difference to someone.

I love that I can help people achieve their goals in a fraction of the time it took me to achieve mine. They don’t have to make the mistakes I did, because I can tell them what works through my education, industry experience and my own personal successes and failures.

It’s worth it when you take what was a chore and it becomes a hobby or a way of life for them. I still get messages from members of gyms I’ve worked at saying you kept me motivated and now I’m healthier and fitter than I ever have been. Quite a few of these people I consider friends and I keep in contact with.

My inspiration, I want people to achieve their goals. I want them to be happy and confident within themselves. Most importantly I want to make getting people fitter and healthier a priority. *As of April 2017 around 20 million British people were physically inactive. This needs to change.

I have worked for so many gyms/leisure facilities where the customers needs come second to numbers and statistics. Customers get fed up with this and give up partaking in regular activity. Which is where the industry lets itself down.

Taking care of customers needs for me means they stay fit and healthy.

I have years of experience within the Fitness industry. I pride myself on providing a professional, friendly service.

I’ve worked with people looking to lose weight, put on muscle, transform their physique, start running after years of inactivity and people looking to improve health conditions through exercise. Just to name a few examples.

I have experience working with Bedford Borough Council on their GP Referral scheme. This is where people are referred by their GP for exercise to help improve their health conditions. Some examples joint problems, knee/hip replacements, musculoskeletal problems, minor heart conditions, diabetes, asthma, mental health conditions.

I have the qualifications, experience and skills to help you on the way to your goals.
