Matt was a pleasure to deal with throughout our whole wedding planning, the photos from our engagement shoot and wedding are absolutely stunning and captured our day perfectly. Some of the shots I had no idea Matt was even around or in the room and he often blended in well with the guests. The documentary style is great as it shows the whole day from getting ready to the first dance. I didn’t think I’d want any getting ready photos and I had no idea what Matt even took as it was a bit hectic but they turned out amazing and I love them. Matt took our wedding photos last week and was an absolute super star! After working with Matt for years in the wedding industry I knew he would shoot the most incredible photos of our big day. He arrived early on the day, as he always does! He made everyone feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout the day, I didn't notice that he was there getting ready, in the ceremony or at the meal, he took the most perfect photographs whilst being super unobtrusive. All of our outside photos are amazing, I really appreciated all of Matt's guidance with where to move my head / bouquet / fluffing out my dress as I'm not a natural in front of the camera and this really helped us get the most amazing photos of our day. Merv = absolute legend. I was determined that Merv would be our photographer and now I’m even more glad we had him. Never have I felt so comfortable and relaxed In front of a camera. We can not recommend Merv enough, he made us both feel so relaxed and kept us giggling through all the photos. We are over the moon with our wedding photos, better than I could hope for. The photos capture every detail from the dress and suit to the flowers and scenery of our amazing venue. Finding it very hard to pick just a few for our photo frames as we love every single one. We chose Field Photography for our wedding day on 12/07/19 at Shottle Hall. My wife had previously met Matt at her maid of honour’s wedding and was keen to get him on board. Matt came to our house on a weekend a few weeks before the wedding to run though all the shots we wanted with certain friends and family. On the wedding day he visited our house where my wife and bridesmaids were getting ready and took some pictures, then onto the venue for pictures of my best man and myself. After the ceremony we had an hour or so of pictures all around the grounds. After this he mingled and blended in. It was only upon receiving the pictures after the wedding that we saw just how many there were before, during an after the ceremony that we didn’t even notice him take. These are my favourite as they are the most natural, such as the look when I first saw at my wife’s dress and various other snaps of people laughing and chatting. We also had the pictures from the first dance and shots around the grounds in the evening which all look fantastic. We’re both so glad we chose Matt for our special day. The professional service, enthusiasm, friendliness and fantastic quality of shots mean we would most definitely recommend Field Photography for anyone considering. Thank you, Dan and Leanne. More...

We had the pleasure of using Matt to photograph our wedding at Shottle hall in September 2018.The photos was brilliant!Both myself and my husband are not really 'posers' however Matt made the whole process feel relaxed and natural. When we first started looking for a wedding photographer we were really taken aback by how stunning Matt's use of light and nature is. Matt was an absolute dream to liaise with from day one. Planning a wedding is very stressful and being able to rely on a supplier makes all the difference as it's one less part of the wedding to worry about.We're so happy with our wedding photos. Matt must have ninja skills as he managed to take many lovely photos of moments we hadn't realised were being captured! Throughout the long day Matt was enthusiastic, accommodating, cheerful and helpful. Merv at Field Photographic is truly amazing. From the first meeting to collecting our stick and prints he never lost his enthusiasm! The weather was horrendous on our wedding day, but Merv still managed to capture the whole day with some fantastic photos. (We even ended up in a cornfield and got some great shots that we will cherish forever).
I would recommend Field Photographic to anyone, and can say with confidence that you will never be disappointed in the service provided.

We booked Merv after having a number of recommendations from friends and other people who knew him and had used him. I have to say I'm over the moon we found him. He was incredible from the first appointment to after wedding.
He was incredible on the day, so professional, friendly and on the ball. The photos are better than I ever thought they would be, the standard is amazing. Has someone who usually struggles to look at myself on photos looking at how Merv pictured how day I'm proud of my photos.

Merv was our wedding photographer 4 years ago, and did an absolutely fantastic job capturing all the key moments of the day, as well as events away from the main attraction that we didn't see ourselves.

This year we returned for a studio session with our 1year old son. Merv was absolutely great with our little one (and very patient too). The results were absolutely fantastic.

On price, we think for the quality and service you receive using Field Photographic is worth every penny. (You'll be hard pushed to find much of a saving elsewhere.)

Merv was our photographer last week at our wedding, and despite him now being my Father in Law, there is nobody else I would have wanted to capture the day.
Before marring Merv's son, Rob, I have had family portraits for gifts which were brilliant. There was no doubt in my mind the pictures would be fantastic for the wedding day, and from the few sneak peaks I've seen we will not be disappointed!!

Well where do i start.............We spoke to a large number of photographers & Merv was the only one that spoke to us as a couple & not a "sales pitch". We cannot recommend Merv highly enough from the first meeting to the wedding & then afterwards he was a complete professional & had our best interests at heart. Merv was very organised & checked throughout that everything was what we wanted & the day couldn't have gone any better. We really enjoyed our "little walk" with Merv & got some amazing pictures. If you want a professional caring photographer that gets the job done & organised then book Merv! Our pictures tell a story & we have some amazing pictures. Highly recommend this guy if your wanting some pictures doing.

He was brilliant on our visit, made us feel very welcome and brilliant in getting the kids to smile, pose ect.

You don't feel pressured into buying the pictures, just advised us as to what would look the best, also you didnt feel like there was any rush to choosing.

We visited Merv at his studio for a family session with our 7 month old after receiving a gift voucher as a present. To say we weren’t looking forward to having our photos taken is an understatement but as soon as we walked in Merv put us at ease, so much so that I totally forgot that I didn’t like having my photo taken! He was brilliant with my little girl who was reluctant to smile in the unusual surroundings, and all in all he made the session really fun.

We have been back to see Merv for our viewing today where we watched a slideshow of all of the images before Merv explained the various option available to us for prints and digital images. Merv explained everything clearly, and most importantly of all, without pressure to buy. We now have all of our beautiful images on a CD and we eagerly await our print.

An absolutely first class service, I would not hesitate in recommending Merv to anyone for their photography needs and we will definitely be back. More...
