Simply perfect. In short: sprinkling fabulous over occasions with zero stress involved for the host. long: listened to all my wants to make a 40th to remember and went above and beyond. For example I think I said no to about 7 bands and never complained just kept looking. The final result was perfect and the night has gone down in history. Called in for lunch in the lounge bar while visiting Helmsley. The menu is small but the food is very nice although if is on the expensive side.
The lounge is a cosy pleasant place to sit andbthe staff were all very good if a little formal for my liking but that's a personal preference.
Had a little wander around the building and the spa including the outdoor pool area looked lovely with steam rising from the pool on a cold rainy day. Looked very inviting!

The hotel is absolutely fantastic, the staff were friendly and very accommodating! Rooms were spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated. The spa, although small, is very well equipped and laid out extremely well. We had an evening meal, drinks and breakfast at the hotel and I would class the experience as, relaxing, attentive and some of the best food I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. I've been visiting the Feversham Arms for several years. This was the best visit yet for food. A fabulous 6 course tasting menu, as good as anything from a Michelin starred restaurant I've visited. The service was friendly but could have done with tweaking a little in terms of slickness. The newly renovated Spa was nice and tidy too. We had a suite for the night which was slightly overkill but well appointed with two TVs , a large bathroom and plenty of space. A great stay in the lovely village of Helmsley. More...

Stayed over night at the hotel and visited the restaurant and spa. The hotel is really nice with large rooms which are very clean and well presented, as you would expect. The restaurant is very good but small so bookings are recommended. We had the tasting menu which was good and the staff were very attentive and helpful. Again the spa is small but has everything you need, even an outdoor (heated) pool if you are feeling brave. More...
