We stayed for 2 nights, mid week. It is such a beautiful place. The staff can't do enough to help you. They make you feel really welcome, as if they actually want you there! The food was beautiful. Friendly helpful staff. Room was different in a pleasant way! Some marks on the wall but nothing that bothered us as the positives far outweighed any niggles, but room may need a lick of paint in places. However only mentioning it as some might be bothered. We thought that the staff, food, location and general atmosphere made up for a few marks on the paint work. We stayed two nights with diner and bed and breakfast. Food was delicious. We didn't use the pool as forgot our swimsuits, but it looked clean and relaxing. It's not massive as someone complained about on another review, but you're hardly going to find an Olympic sized pool in a manor house ! Will definitely be back and would recommend ☺️ More...

Fantastic venue, for lunch, for weekends away,functions etc. In our case this time we attended a wedding. The whole weekend went very smoothly, and all of the staff and management worked so well with themselves and us (over 130 people) that we all have nothing but praise for the Faenol Fawr Country House.

Attended a wedding at Faenol Fawr, we we're fortunate with the weather so the service was held outdoors in a lovely setting. The staff were extremely attentive during the meal though the experience would have been impoved if they smiled more. A lovely hotel. With lovely staff. All willing to help and make your stay enjoyable as possible.
We had a nice sized family room.
Room was dimly lit. No good for girls trying to put on make up. But still a nice room.
Food at the party we had was amazing. And served nice and hot. Drinks at the bar were fine. There is a gym here. But we did not use it. We did yes the pool. Again nice to relax in. And has a splash about the the children. The sauna was a nice surprise. Which we did use as well.
Breakfast in the morning was not as smooth run, as the other things. Only 1 lady on. 1 cook on. Told 26 breakfasts. When there was more like 50. So poor staff run of there feet. So we had a wait. But had breakfast in the end. Told by other guests. This is a one off.
On the whole a nice hotel. One I would call back again. And recommend to other users.

Recommend whole heartedly. Lovely accommodation and outstanding food. Located in a beautiful location. Only place I'd look to stay now when visiting North Wales, not because anywhere else is bad but because Faenol Fawr is outstanding.

I stay in this hotel regularly. Lovely hotel, set in one of the most picturesque setting. Rooms have excellent decor, very clean and comfortable. I have a bad back and very particular about mattresses but never had any reason to complain. Staff are all very friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble for them. We booked a room at the last minute due to a family member being taken in to the hospital next door. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating than they were which made a stressful situation so much easier to deal with.
The room we were given was very clean, nicely decorated and a very good size with all amenities you could wish for. All the food we had at dinner and breakfast was of a good standard.
When exploring other parts of the hotel the pool looked nice with a gym and the water was warm. I wish I'd had a swimming costume.
All in all thank you for making a difficult situation easier. Please thank all your staff for all their kindness and going that extra mile!!
