What makes a great website?
Form and functionality.
A great website needs to be easy on the eye, visually appealing, and easy to use for both the viewer and for whoever maintains the website. The graphic components should speak volumes about your business. A great website is a place where your clients and customers can learn more about you and easily interact with you.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is the purpose of your project? Who is the project aimed at? What is your timescale? Is this project a brand new venture? Is the work being commissioned replacing a previous venture? What experience do you have within the sphere of the project?
Describe your creative process.
Our creative process starts with defining a look and feel which most represents the project. We then create a ‘moodboard’ communicating our visual ideas and concepts consisting of anything from colour schemes; semi-worked up designs; descriptive words, copy and phrases to stock photos and hand drawn sketches to nail down the direction of the project. The final step is to refine these ideas and implement them into whatever format our client requires.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
An idea of budget; timescale; in what format the work will be distributed and used (print, web, outdoor, social media); our clients competitors and what the client wishes to achieve.
What do you love most about your job?
The creative process involved in originating an idea and then producing it in its intended format.
