Elliot of Essex Aquatics delayed and mislead me for several months of this year. He churned out the standard library of excuses for not starting work on agreed dates.
He proved to be unreliable possessing a manner of sheer disregard for customers. I will bring this company to the attention Better Business Bureau & the FTC with the hope of trying to protect other consumers.

I suggest nobody use this unreliable company. On the 23rd April I booked a pond clean and was told the earliest was the 27th September which was confirmed.
To date no one has arrived and no reply to repeated texts or messages. Unacceptable customer service and no excuse for not responding.

Essex Aquatics created a wildlife pond with lighting and planting to replace an old lifeless pond. They also replaced and enlarged our old patio. Like most people I reviewed Essex Aquatics on Google before using them. The reviews were either rated 5 star or 1 star.. .to be honest I thought well reading between the lines this must be a busy person but if you can get him he's really good and I was right...to sum up Elliot and his team, they communicated well, did an amazing restoration job on my pond, and were professional, polite and courteous at all times. Elliot came round last Friday to do an initial clean of the filters on our two ponds. Gave us some good advice about stopping blanket weed and that one pump not working properly. Essex Aquatics reconstructed what was an overgrown and almost dried up hole in the ground into a very pretty pond. The cost of materials and labour was clearly explained, they turned up as agreed, did what they said they would do, were respectful of our home, tidied up and left us with a lovely pond - thank you Elliot!

Excellent rebuild of our existing leaky pond in a remarkably painless way. Elliot and his team managed to empty our old and very silted-up pond without making any mess at all. They put in a new liner and gravel filtration system, re-installed the waterfall and pump and replanted many of the existing plants they had managed to save. They also took good care of our fish - safely extracted them, kept them in aerated pools full of the existing pond water so they didn't suffer any shock, and then gently returned them to their upgraded home.
