I was swapped between 3 different people for a simple conveyance on a flat - i had to call 6 times just to speak to them, had a solicitor who couldn't even use email properly or understand email links. Was rude told me he was too snowed under to do my work - charged extras, told to do my own searches. still owed refund months after the deal - still not getting any response via email. My own experience of EMD Law has been first class in every way! I have used them for the conveyancing of my father's apartment, the sale of my house and the purchase of another. They are friendly and approachable, knowledgeable and at the end of the phone most of the time when you need help.They may not be the cheapest solicitors around but you get what you pay for and I believe I had good value for money.They are informal but professional and care about their clients so I would not hesitate to recommend their services and I shall certainly use them again. What do you love most about your job?
It sounds like a cliche, but I genuinely enjoy helping people and achieving a good outcome for them. Nothing is better than being told by a Client that I have made them feel reassured and less anxious about a situation.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was fortunate enough to become a partner in - and am now the senior partner of a firm that has occupied the same offices since 1918 ! My daughter Catie is also a partner and we are a true family firm.
