First and foremost it starts with creativity. Perception is reality, and creating the right impression as soon as a visitor hits the website is paramount to capturing their interest. Optimising the customer experience is crucial for monetising a website.
Simple methods of capturing crucial visitor information, creating desire to explore further, and understanding exactly how to present emotional and unique selling points create marginal gains all round. Every website has to tick the subconscious and conscious tick box in the minds of the visitors. Achieving that goal leads to on site success.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
First and foremost it is about results. What the client is looking to gain from their project is the starting point.
Marketing history is important. What successes and failures they have experienced so they and we can learn from them.
Competition is a crucial element. In every industry there is a success story and a reason for that success. We want to know who the client aspires to be or emulate in their market sector.

First stage is to look at a good brief for the project
We then ask the client to contribute to the brief we have designed from initial conversations
Next stage is to explore the market sector carrying out competitor analysis
Next stage for us once we have a strong brief and understanding of the project is to explore the creative aspects of the project conceptualising the work for the client to provide input
From therein it is about good communication with the client and making sure they are part of the process until we take the project through to completion

The ability to creativity influence an audience and create the desire for that audience to take action. Getting results is exciting for us and our clients.
What inspired you to start your own business?
This is actually my second business. The first I sold after growing one of the fastest growing businesses of its kind in the region. A successful exit strategy and I was back doing it all over again. I love the industry of marketing and to lead a company and inspire others is incredibly rewarding. My desire in 2004-5 came from a strong background in marketing and wanting to create a business and legacy I could be proud of.
