I don’t usually write reviews but on this occasion I felt compelled to write something. Like most people we have had our ups and downs with decorators. I decided to try someone new this time and found Eglantine on Yell.I phoned and arranged an appointment, Jim arrived on time and promptly forwarded me a very detailed and professional quote. I found it very competitive and agreed a start date.The start date was adhered to and Connor and Mano arrived bright and early.From their arrival I can’t speak highly enough about how they went about things. Connor and Mano were extremely engaging, professional and friendly. Jim and his team have just completed the gloss work to the exterior of our period property. They have been both friendly and professional at all times, arriving exactly when they said they would, working fastidiously and ensured that our property was clean at the end of each day. They have been courteous and polite when dealing with our neighbours when access was required via their property. The quality of their work has been exceptional (it was clear that it would be from their preparation alone.) Our sash windows have been glossed, resealed and cleaned to an exacting standard. Jim and his team did an outstanding job in repainting the exterior of our crescent of 5 townhouses. From start to finish their attention to detail and diligence have been second to none. Jim project managed the job including scaffolders, cherry picker, and plasterer. Jim Corr and his painting team at Eglantine Decorators did a great job on the exterior of our old house in South Belfast. He was true to his word in his attention to detail, carrying out many small repairs, designing novel solutions for problems and leaving the whole place spotless when finished . The team worked long hours, sometimes in adverse weather conditions, and were all highly skilled and pleasant. We were delighted with the finished product and would recommend the firm to anyone. We asked Jim and the team to update and paint our family room and two bedrooms. From the outset Jim was extremely helpful, professional, very pleasant and efficient. He discussed the work with us, gave us alternatives regarding costs and options. He responded promptly when contacted and best of all, he and his team did a superb job within the designated time - a week. Eglantine Decorators were recommended to us by a friend, who said they were excellent! He was correct! A team of 4 clearly experienced men papered and painted the hall, stairs and landing of our 100 year old house. They are a great team. The job was over 3 floors and was completed to the highest of standards. Their attention to detail was exceptional and that really impressed me! They spent 6 days lining the walls and filling in and rubbing down any imperfections before they began the papering and painting! The paper was beautifully hung and the gloss paint sparkling. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful in offering advice when asked. They are very tidy and everywhere was vacuumed at the end of the day. Eglantine Decorators transformed what was a " tired old house" into somewhere that is stunning, bright and vibrant! They are returning to do some more work in the living room and kitchen in January! We just took possession of a new office in Belfast and it was in an extremely poor state. I gave a call to Eglantine Decorators and Jim answered the phone straight away. He came to see the office within a couple of days and gave me a quote very quickly. I was happy with the description of the work he was going to do and the cost. Jim and his team started work a few days later and finished the work in the time he told me. I cannot stress enough the quality of the work!! It looks amazing! Jim and his team sanded down and varnished fencing outside my home. It was not an easy job and others had told me it couldn't be brought back to life as I I'd wanted. Jim and his team have just finished painting the outside of our house. They are the best painters I have ever used and are complete perfectionists. I have no hesitation in recommending them. They were punctual, tidy, obliging and provided a very detailed quotation for all anticipated work. I asked Jim Corr for a quotation for the painting of the outside of my house – it was in quite a bad state and was a big job. Everything Jim and his team did was efficient and professional. He gave me a quote very promptly, answered all my questions, gave me a clearly itemised price, gave me a start date and a schedule for the work.Everything was done with great care and he did things which were above and beyond the requirements of the job - filling cracks and even fixing joints in spoutings. They wallpapered and painted our bedroom, the old plaster and woodwork was in bad condition with cracks, holes and gaps everywhere. They fully repaired these problems, covered with under layer and then patterned wallpaper which matches up perfectly with no gaps or mismatches with pattern. We had our bedroom wallpapered and painted by Eglantine Decorators, they did a fantastic job. The pattern paper was matched up perfectly; all cracks, holes and imperfection with the old plaster were repaired/filled and are no longer visible.
